Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To be fair, the leap card system is sh1te.

Joe:What are you going to do?
Caller: You were my first port of call.

Instead of, you know engaging with the finer?

    Joe now talking rubbish.

The system is fine if you use it properly.

The 2 issues with paying student nurses

    1. They are still training. Should we now start paying medical students?

    2. The work student nurses are doing is not highly skilled.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,402 ✭✭✭McGinniesta

Were nurses ever paid for training like this? If you didn’t agree why sign up to the course from day one? Go do something else if that didn’t suit.

Only problem I have is how dow you ensure the trainee nurse stays after graduation after being paid by the tax payer. Yes pay them but ledalize their contract that they have to put in 2 years before they leave.

Well if that’s what you signed up to and knew you weren’t going to be paid for a training period- then why would that change now? Far too many people in Ireland get wound up in emotive rubbish rather than reality
