Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My brain translated your exthergated into exaggerated when I first scanned the title.

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/exaggerated
    1. excessively or inappropriately heightened, inflated, or overstated
    2. enlarged or increased beyond the normal : greater than normal

The only reasonably certain letter in that word is the t, followed by an h. However if it is someone who habitually puts an h after a t on the off-chance it may be needed (he thought me/ he taught me) then it could be very difficult.

If the previous word is 'was' then the questionable word could be anything!

edit - the preceding word is 'feels'? Surely not?

    Extricated.

But I think it's improper usage if the OP is correct in terms of its meaning here.

It seems like someone was going for ostracized but ended up at exthragated.

id have said untrusted, given the explanation of an habitual h after a t
