Would not be believed ( exthergated)

Hi folks
I am trying to reading sonebodys hand written notes there is part which say " he feels exthergated" . i cant find in dictionary but i know that much what he is trying to say is, he would not be believed. So would u know any word similar " exthergated" or some other words similar to this which means "would not be believed"

From attached image i can only spell it exthagated or _ _ t_ _ _gated.

The only reasonably certain letter in that word is the t, followed by an h. However if it is someone who habitually puts an h after a t on the off-chance it may be needed (he thought me/ he taught me) then it could be very difficult.

If the previous word is 'was' then the questionable word could be anything!

edit - the preceding word is 'feels'? Surely not?

But I think it's improper usage if the OP is correct in terms of its meaning here.

It seems like someone was going for ostracized but ended up at exthragated.
