Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

how to sell willow cuttings

    Hi,

I have a willow coppice of 2000 trees for personal use.
I cut the first 500 last winter, but due to being super busy all year I never tended to the new growth.

I was intending to thin it out to approx 3 rods per tree as I'm growing mini-logs... but there are WAAAYYYY more, and very long!

    I estimate I could provide 50-100,000 cuttings.

They are a hybrid vigorous variety from Bow Hayes Trees. When I planted them I had a 99.99% success rate (good soil, east coast) and they grow extremely well.

TBH I got so many mini-logs from the 500, and considering I have 1500 more to go, that I am thinking of just cutting it all back again this winter. I will probably just mulch it all and store to use around the base of trees that I plant.

But I'm wondering now if there is an easy market for it? If I got 50,000 3 foots from it, then it could cost me over 50,000GBP to purchase the equivalent!

Does anybody know of anyone setting up a coppice and might be interested in some kind of very advantageous-to-them deal?
