Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dismantled and bagged up mine today after just a week on display. As amazing as it is and all my almost 3 year old was on a mission to get to it. I let her play with my 75105 which is on my bedside locker (she likes to open it up and hide BB8 around the ship) so it was not worth the tantrums. Plus she was pulling over stools and steps etc to get to it.. Oh well. It was nearly as satisfying to take apart as it was to build!

Finally got my hands on the Saturn V, a pal was on holiday’s in germany last week and decided to check the lego store in cologne, he was lucky enough to spot one for me.

I assume he means launch gantry/umbilical tower, first Id heard of it, another must buy if it makes it:

    https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a88109ec-9970-4fe1-98b4-9bd535856ab4

Doesnt look great in the mockups there tbh but the finished one will be great, wonder if there are any plans around already that you could just Bricklink?

I see they're collecting supporters for the SLS systems too. Honestly, if they released the entire NASA and Soviet space collection, I'd buy them all. The Saturn V is the first kit I bought for myself as an adult but it's so cool I'm hooked.

    That's the one......

......and I see it's reached the magic 10,000 votes to qualify for a review!

    Likewise.

It's easily 30+ years since I bought any kits......then I bought this, now I find myself looking at other large scale non-lego models (The Eagle from Space 1999, and the various Airfix/Revell Apollo kits) while thinking about clearing some space in the "man cave" for a model building table :D:D

FYI John Lewis have changed their online status to expecting stock, and are letting you place orders again - https://www.johnlewis.com/lego-ideas-21309-nasa-apollo-saturn-v/p3240185?navAction=jump&_requestid=702870

I've ordered one, so here's hoping they deliver.

I still have my Saturn V in the box upstairs and I don't see me getting it built this side of January so I'm going to move it on now.

If anyone is interested in it send me a PM and you can have it for cost price, I'm not looking to make anything off it and I'd prefer to see someone who will actually enjoy the build get it than someone on Adverts who'd just try flip it.

I built my one, im usually into the Technics sets but I have to say I love this set. Its also pretty big!

This is an unbelievable set IMO. So detailed and the build is very, very clever

Fair play to you. I got this a month or so ago for myself and one for my nephew for Christmas. Fantastic kit. Attention to detail is amazing, from the two-tone support interior invisible once built to the fact it's 1969 pieces (Although mine had a few extra small pieces). Think I might take it apart again just to rebuild.

My advice is to take emmetkenny up on his offer (And don't be a tool and resell it).

I'll end up re buying myself at some stage but I know someone might need one for Christmas and it's hard to know how many Lego will get back into stock before then.

I was in the Lego store in London today and they had a good few of these in stock. Hopefully that's a sign they'll be coming back online soon.

Ordered one today to ship by Dec 14. Cashed in my VIP points so I got it on the cheap. Can't wait.

Trying to order one. Keeps saying no delivery to a po box!

Do you not have a non-PO Box address that you can have it shipped to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 511 ✭✭✭Daisy 55

I just have a regular address. Not a po box!
Is there a trick to this?

    Order off the Irish store?

    Yes
Has a little tricolour at the top!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 742 ✭✭✭WildWater

Have you ordered from the site before? It shouldn't be a problem. Check how you have your address entered.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 511 ✭✭✭Daisy 55

No, first time customer! My address is in correctly. Just won't go to payment. Keeps jumping up top post box warning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 742 ✭✭✭WildWater

Well that's odd. It should work. Try logging out and back in again. When I was trying to cash in my VIP points earlier it didn't work. Logged out and back in and hey presto.

Sorted! Was using auto fill and it didn't like it.
Delighted! Will be one happy son on Christmas morning!

I only ordered mine yesterday and it said ship by the 14th. If it ships by then it will be here. In my case, I've yet to decide if this is a gift for me or for my son :) So, if it doesn't come in time for Christmas then I guess it will have to be a gift for me. :D
