I thought over time rules allowed the other team a chance to kick a field goal if one team scored one.

Definitely a call that swung the game. ..BUT. ..the saints had an opportunity to stop the Rams on their game tying fg drive. . And the saints had a chance to score a td and end the game in overtime. The saints had a chance to pin the rams deep if they don't turn the ball over, and they had a chance to stop the rams for their final fg winning mini-drive....of course a 56 yard fg is no gimmie, and they had every chance of getting the ball back with favourable field position had it missed, so yes a huge call, but did not cause them to lose the game

Nearly forget about the fact that I think the saints play calling at certain times was very poor. That 1st down play after the Gunn catch was stupid. Clearly run so the rams have to burn the time out.

Classy enough of Payton to do the interview there.

Fair play to Peyton it would have been understandable if he blew up the officials in that interview. That no call was scandalous and cost them their place in the SuperBowl

I agree it swung the game....but it wasn't the sole cause for the loss. The saints still had an 81% win expectancy after the fg. They still had the game in their hands at that stage.
