Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They ain't all going to get out of q school. There will still be some top class players playing BDO next year I'd say.

not being smart or anti bdo but theres not many top class players as it is , lets be fair , some good players - but top class?

waites / mitchell / durant etc all going to q school - youd expect a few of them to get in
i havnt saw 1 top 10 bdo player say hes not doing it
with the change in rules they have nothing to lose

only issue is for euro players , euro q school overlaps with some of lakeside , so may not get to enter full 4 days

Depends on your definition of top class I suppose? Not every one can be mvg or anderson.

Would you consider the likes of Kim Hybrechts, Simon Whitlock, Joe Cullen ect top class? That's the level the likes the top bdo players are at the likes of waites, veenstra, unterbuchner

For clarity, I would rate everyone inside the pdc top 32 as top class players and even a few outside of it.

    Plays Wade next.
Wade wont choke like White on the doubles.

Ian White is your typical floor player. Great in an empty hall, put him on tv and he is sweating like gary glitter in toys 'r us

Silence is deafening from our resident expert

Durrant possibly of to q school as well.

unterbuchner for example is new and nobody really knows how good he will turn out , he could have a good year or 2 and never be heard of again , we dont really know - he looks solid and has balls which is huge , he doesnt buckle
i wouldnt call him top class at the minute , huge promise , 1 or 2 good events doesnt make anything certain

look at jamie hughes , really top bdo player , ranked 2 when he left i think , mayby 4 ? couldnt get a tour card and hasnt really made any impact , ranked 105 with 13stg prize money , and that lad can play
thats the reality for most high rank bdo players that switch now

Apparently Dimitri's girlfriend had a heart transplant and was in a coma up until a week or so ago. Fair play to him for even competing. Hope he goes far.

I'd love to see Mensur push on. He showed how clinical he can be there and it sucked the life out of DvdB.

Pricey pulling the piss out of the crowd is great but he's getting carried away by it and Whitlock won't stay this ****e for too much longer

Price is a tool but I’m no fan of the shampoo dodger either, can they both lose :)

I was surprised Russ Bray called Price on his behaviour. That is not something I expected

A lovely bloke, but very hard to watch. I don't know how he hits the numbers that he does, given his very unorthodox technique

Two pants sh1tters. Anderson or Van Gerwen would eat them both for breakfast

Jaysus Whitlock shat the bed in that. So many missed chances.

Price just comes across as a knob head to me.... Could be wrong but just seems like a knob

    I don't like him

    Yes I don't know him
    :)

Whitlock is a big time bottler, and Price is a big time bollocks.

It’s a pity Cadby didn’t get stuck into him last year!!!

    Very entertaining though

Delighted for Pricey. He shut those fools in the crowd up.

Price is a knob. He had a row with Adrian Lewis a few years ago and he got hammered by jackpot.
He needs to stop antagonising the crowd, the crowd in Ally Pally will lap it up if he starts that nonsense!

Fuvk sake Simon! Had the darts to win it only to let that little **** in to sneak it.

Ya Whitlock is a proper Mayo bottler of a man tbf.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,260 ✭✭✭alan partridge aha

It appeared Whitock said/did something as Price was throwing causing the Welshman to stop. If he did that is out of order.

I know Price goes over the top but I like him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,715 ✭✭✭✭Ally Dick

Mardle is right. Showboating wastes energy in the middle of a game

Price has a hell of long way to go to get close to the career Whitlock has had.

Think it’s really unsporting the way he slows it down and looks at the crowd when he scores low, also looks suspiciously like gamesmanship when he “drops” his darts when retrieving them!

    Don’t like Whitlock either :)

Pushing it a bit alright, but I'd like to know what caused Price to stop mid throw. I like Whitlock BTW.

Just watched it again, Whitlock definitely said something to Price as he approached the oche, definitely shouldn’t have done that.

Surprised it hasn’t come out what was said.

    10 all.

Clayton is hanging in but MvG is having a ‘mare on doubles!

    TbL

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

If MvG plays like that tomorrow, Anderson will beat him handy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,862 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

I hope Anderson wins tomorrow as it'll make for a more interesting final imo

Can't see Mensur or Price troubling MvG in a final

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Excellent comeback from 10-5 down by Price, didn’t look like he’d a hope at that stage

Ah lads, that 105 checkout was pure class from Anderson.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,862 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

    Gary is just class

    Reckon he'll beat Price handy

mvg is off the boil this year , gary should really have won by more

    he wont like prices antics

Might be a bit of needle in the final what with Gary saying that Clayton was the best Welsh player by a distance!

Price an Anderson have a fued going a long time now, mostly Anderson wife giving price guff on Twitter.

Delighted to see him make a final but I just don't think his best game is good enough to beat Gary's b game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,862 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

    Reckon Anderson wins 16-8

Wouldn't mind seeing a close game even though I do want Anderson to win

Love Price to win, Gary comes across as sound, but he can be narky enough on stage.

    Think Anderson will win it.

Anderson can also be a bit of a billy bollocks sore loser.

Love watching him play, sublime when in full flow

Defo, Anderson great to watch in full flow. Tops Tops to break and he was hitting bulls for sport against MVG.
