The Kilkenny top is still 70 quid on the O'Neills website. Wouldn't that be an indication it's not changing?

Wexford jersey still €70 with gains on it and they’ve announced a new sponsor

Just hoping people are stupid enough so.

For sale in Kilkenny in Sportsdirect and Elverys, €40.00 for adults and €20.00 for childrens jerseys. For Sale in O'Neills shop in Newry for £20.00 for adults jerseys last month.

Diabolical sponsor. They could only top that by getting sponsored by a funeral director.

New Meath jersey design will be out before Christmas. The footballers will still have Devenish as their sponsors while the hurlers are looking for a new sponsor as Uniflu's partnership ended.

Did O'Neills eve sell the hurling jersey or just stick with the football? I notice they didn't do a hurling jersey for a lot of teams even though you could get pink ones and camogie ones, etc.

I only ever saw the Galway one when the CB was split. I'm sure the factory shop has them. Speaking of, I must bail up there for a look tomorrow.

O'Neills have been selling the Meath hurling jersey for the last number of years online. The current one is still available (https://www.oneills.com/meath-gaa-hurling-jersey.html).

I was a bit disappointed when the hurlers' sponsorship with Martin Donnelly ended. Firstly because he seemed to have a genuine interest in the teams and Meath hurling, and also because he'd been sponsor for around 15 years, which created good continuity, and made gear and jersies look a bit more timeless since they had the same MD logo each time.

I know Phoenix Labs got the sponsorship fair and square, and by all accounts have been generous sponsors for the last 5 years, but I always knew they'd be gone before long as they don't have the same personal investment in Meath hurling as Martin Donnelly did.

That said; money talks, and I presume Martin Donnelly simply didn't match whatever was on the table from Phoenix Labs (in addition to one or two other reasons I've heard rumours of).

It'll be interesting to see who sponsors our hurlers next. It can't be too lucrative a contract, even though we've been promoted to the J McD.

It is a shame, hopefully whoever comes in as sponsor will be able to provide everything that's needed for the step up to Joe McDonagh. I wonder if the present sponsor leaving has anything to do with the fallout from a league match involving the county champions earlier this year?

Doubt it to be honest. As far as I can tell that entire event was just swept under the rug with no punishments for either side. Match was nullified and it didn't affect either team's position.

New Donegal jersey launched - can't post a link from my phone. Reminds me of the 2002 jersey.

Its a nice jersey but the KN logo breaks up the design. If it was smaller so it didnt cover the stripes it would be a lot better.

Another decent jersey ruined by an ugly sponsors logo. See also Laois.

They had a slightly better version of the sponsor on the alternate jersey in 2018. It's a pity they didn't stick with it.

Kilkenny's jersey for the season just gone was the worst jersey in GAA history. It repulsed me.

Jesus. That's gash. Their last one was a thing of beauty. Well, in spite of being Kerry jersey.

Last one was "designed" by Galvin. This one is by O Neills. It's an absolute monstrosity. Cant see them selling well. Simpler is better with a jersey imo and theres far too much going on with this new yolk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,164 ✭✭✭zetecescort

have Kerry ever had completely gold sleeves before?

  • Posts: 13,688 ✭✭✭✭ Holland Enough Mouthful

I've yet to see a nice jersey for the coming season.

I suppose that'll happen when O'Neill's have the market to themselves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

No one has to buy them.

Kukri, Masita and Azzuri do exist as well.

I was watching the Ladies football finals and the alternatives to the O'Neills jersies were ugly, Azzurri were hit and miss but they were a change from similar O'Neills templates on every team, they seem to have lost their grip in recent years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

When Sligo and Waterford were with alternatives they were nice.

Azzurri still make the Waterford jerseys being based locally. New one due shortly I believe.

  • Posts: 13,688 ✭✭✭✭ Holland Enough Mouthful

Waterford have been with Azzurri for years and I can't recall a single great jersey. I think their one in 1998 was a beauty but that was O'Neill's haha.

I stopped buying Kilkenny jerseys because I ****ing hate the crest (almost) as much as last year's jersey.

There's a bar in a sketchy area of Bogota with Roscommon shirts on the wall.

That's an odd one especially if there are several of them.

Lot of green on that one. Especially with the shorts. Bit of a change from recent times for them.

Watch now when they play Kerry or Meath later in the year and neither team will change strip. Drives me up the wall in the GAA every year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,164 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Donegal were mainly green up to the early 90's, the opposite of Kerry in fact. a green shirt with a gold hoop

Near back to the proper pre 92 jersey.

    Same as Kerry.

Donegal lighter shade of green though I think. Donegal Kerry next year I would think the sides would need to wear alternative jerseys with Kerry wearing more Gold and Donegal wearing more Green. Same if either side face Meath.

That's a poor looking jersey. The kerry one is terrible aswell.

I think they ran into trouble during the down turn but still had a lot of county teams untill recentaly enough. Dongal were still with them in 2012.

Gaelic Gear were another from the 2000's who had a few counties Down, Wexford and Galway hurling off the top of my head.

It's still hard to beat O'Neills at the end of the day.You really do know what you're getting for your money

Yeah was the 92 Semi that they swapped over and never changed back. They should stick with mainly yellow tbh. Too many counties and club teams nationwide have Green as the primary colour. And tbh, Donegal's history in Green (pre 92) is nothing to be nostalgic about!

That's the first Kilkenny jersey I've liked, think having black as the dominant colour and less stripes improves it no end. Still wouldn't wear it though
