    My two favorite pints in Dublin are both under 5€.

    One is 4.20€ in Dublin 8.

    Other is 4.80€ in a beautiful spot in the city centre

    Yes, although I blame the suppliers and landlords as well as the the pubs.

    In a well-run pub, gross margins can be 65%.

    A publican told me that the Louis Fitzgerald chain have an 80% gross margin on drink.

    Recent prices in central Glasgow:

    50ml gin and tonic = 3.95 GBP, or 4.65 euro, so for 71ml that would be 6.60 for a double gin and tonic.

    Pints of real ale = 2.49

    Tea = 1.50, unlimited refills

    Fish + chips + pint on Fridays = 8.30, i.e under 10 euro.

    Guinness = 4.40, although Shoots charge 4.30

    Beamish can be got for 3.80

    Pint bottles of Guinness available in Shoots, 4.50

    Similar in a lovely one in Wales last year, food hit and miss but we had the stake and chips which was lovely.
