Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't know what I'm most surprised at, that I didn't sleep through my alarm or that I actually got a ticket for a popular arena concert

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,450 ✭✭✭Batesy

Standing not even sold out for the 2nd night. I think they may of got greedy and over estimated the demand.

Should’ve left it at the 1 night.

Agreed. Always a bad sign when there's standing left.

Anybody else get new tickets delivered with a letter to say the original barcodes are invalid?

Thought I’d hit a nice score today. Received original ones a week or two ago. Was going to gift one of the new tickets to a friend and sell the other three until I read the attached letter.

Not sure if it was just a one off error in my case but beware if buying “second hand”.

Not for Liam Gallagher but I did get 2 replacement tickets for Keane today.

It said the barcodes on the ones I originally received a few weeks ago had been printed incorrectly ,but I compared them and they looked identical.

Strange one ,never encountered it before .

one of Gerry cinnamon or Richard Ashcroft would do the trick again!

Gerry is playing 3arena the beginning of November and has more or less sold out all of his arena tour. RA would be a nice addition though.

See the gig being advertised a lot in last few days. Lots of sponsored ads on social media, LG did an interview with Today FM etc.

Wonder how far off they are of selling out the Saturday night.

Hoping DMAs get announced as support.

  • Registered Users Posts: 626 ✭✭✭mikekerry

He plays a mix of his own stuff and Oasis. He was excellent in Cork in June. To get a taster listen to RadioX on Sunday at 7. They have a live recording from last Saturday. See if it's to your taste

Jesus just looking up that Gerry cinnamon chap and think I’ll be giving the support slot a miss if it’s him.
How him and Liam Gallagher can share the same country is beyond me never mind the same stage.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 15,141 Mod ✭✭✭✭Furious-Red

Lads there is no hope of Gerry Cinnamon supporting him the 3Arena since he already sold out his own 3Arena show

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 5,695 Mod ✭✭✭✭Nowso

at olympia gig as with beady eye aswell he has had no support just had it down as a dj set for paul it was just music playing nothing else

Anybody would be better than Slowthai.

DMA's in Dublin would have been great.

That’s good so, an indie band I’ve never heard of and alex turners mate.

I’m excited to check them out.

Much better than Gerry Cinnamon as far as I’m concerned.

Edit: indie band I’ve never heard of won’t be there. Tears of rage.

any of the 2 are an improvement on slowthai

Disappointed we didn't get DMAs but agree that anyone was better than slowthai. Saw Miles Kane when he was supporting Arctic Monkeys a few years ago and thought he was good live.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,005 ✭✭✭BDI

Listened to the new album a couple of times today. Decent. Few times I winced and thought Noel could have improved a cheesy lyric here or there but it had so much that Noel lacked once he went solo. Edge, passion a song going off on a tangent here and there.

    Solid album.
I do feel there is a classic album in Liam yet. Maybe it’s sentimentality but I think he will, in the next two or three solo albums come up with something that goes into the top 50 albums of all time lists.

    He’s on the cusp.

    The setlist, for reference.

    Rock 'n' Roll Star
    Halo
    Shockwave
    Wall of Glass
    For What It's Worth
    Morning Glory
    Columbia
    Stand by Me
    Once
    Now That I've Found You
    One of Us
The World's Not Set in Stone
    Greedy Soul
    Be Still
    The River
    Gas Panic!
    Wonderwall

    Encore:

    Acquiesce
    Roll With It
    Supersonic
    Champagne Supernova

Goddamn, that encore is INCREDIBLE. Can't wait for next weekend.

Looking forward also to hearing his new single 'Now That I've Found You' live. His acoustic version of it from that MTV Unplugged show a few months ago was brilliant.

I wonder is he doing it acoustic or just the standard album version for he tour?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,749 ✭✭✭flasher0030

Wow. That is impressive. i had pencilled in going to Girl Band on that Saturday night. But it's hard to pass up on a Gallagher gig belting out those tunes. Love Comumbia. Don't hear much about it when people on about Definately Maybe. But it does it for me.
Noel to make an appearance during One of Us, and Liam to announce that Oasis are back together for one worldwide tour.

Looking forward to the Saturday now, Cork was great even with the bad weather. Of the Oasis tracks can't wait to hear Stand by Me and Acquiesce.

Any word on what time he came on stage at the other gigs?
