Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The second biggest tournament on the PDC calendar is less than a month away.

Most of the qualifiers are already known with only 3 places left up for grabs. Willie O'Connor can still qualify, he needs a run to the Quarter Finals of the Czech Darts Open this weekend.

The full details of the confirmed qualifiers and potential qualifiers can be found here:

All qualifiers now confirmed. Hughes needed to win in Prague to qualify and he did that.

It's the strongest looking non seeds in memory.

It's a seriously strong field this year. A lot of seeds could be dumped out in the first round.

Yeah the non seeds are incredibly strong this year really looking forward to this now.

Wikepedia are always the best for the draw bracket. See below:

Won’t get away with watching darts all day so I’ll give the afternoon session a miss as the evening session looks like it has better potential games

Chizzy isn’t great under pressure, should have taken that chance against Hopp, he’ll regret that

Really thought Hughes would beat Smith especially from 4-1 up.

    It's hard to like Wade

Took the dog out for a walk in the pissing rain as I thought JdZ was a formality to win it, Wade was falling apart. What happened did JdZ crumble?

Wattimena is a complete clown, what’s he expecting, Mensur to change his game and throw quicker just to suit him!! Not the first time he loses interest against slower throwers.

Just tuning in.....Lewis v Durrant should be interesting, think it will be close.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Lewis is a shadow of the player he once was, it’s hard to watch him struggling so badly

Very ragged leg from Lewis in the 4th just now. Maybe this won't be as close as I thought.

Absolutely, and it doesn't seem to take much for his head to drop. Durrant will be steady to the end.

Great 101 finish on 16 with one dart in hand, very early, but actually feel that could be a back breaker for Lewis.

In the pre match interviews GD said that Lewis has more talent in his little finger that he does in his body but he’ll be relying on years of hard work and experience. Whatever’s happened Lewis lately his head is gone

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

....great 11 darter. Needs to string a few of those legs like that together though. Opportunity for Durrant to break straight back though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,966 ✭✭✭Liamalone

Is Durrant playing in his away kit? Did they make him drop the red I wonder.

Why would they make him drop the red? The decor?

    Great finishing from Durrant again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

How do you lose a leg like that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Very impressive from Durrant but Lewis is all over the place.

Sad to say but he could easily fade away and plummet down the rankings.

Great set up to leave 16s in the last leg, just when it looked like Lewis could grab a life line.

I think he'd lose some automatic invitations to the biggest events (or is that top 32?)

Do you know who the co-commentator is? His voice is going to take some getting used to. Is it the guy from ITV coverage?

Look at Barney he’s just about in top 32 and gets invited to everything!

That would make sense, just haven't heard him on sky before.

101 avg and 58% on doubles, that'll beat most players, but absolutely no pressure from Lewis.

MVG 13/8 thirteen to eight!! 13 to 8!... He's gonna win this, great price...

Don’t see any value in that, he looks vulnerable at the moment.

I wouldn't go anywhere near MVG at that price he was pretty poor yesterday his finishing in particular was poor

Brilliant from Wright. Average over 110 for most of that match. Still think 9/1 is way too generous from the bookies. Tempted to back him a 3rd time

Was just thinking that you’d got good value, he’ll be hard to beat, that’s for sure. His T19, T19 bull finish was beautiful

Wright was great tonight but in terms of winning the tournament I just don't fancy him at all

Who do you fancy? He's playing the best darts over the last month. Easier draw. A final will do me because it's each way but I'd love for him to do it as a fan.

Young Nathan Aspinall must be feeling fair sick, highest average of Rd1 , but beaten

Agree re Snakebite, he's the form player and has a reasonable route to the final
Wouldn;t fancy him against MvG though

Beat him in the European Darts grand Prix in the quarters or semis I think
Final record is not good though, always looks beat to me before he even starts

Can’t see it, he’ll up his game massively for this one. Won’t want anyone questioning that he’s the worlds best. I can see Glen getting a thumping but I’m looking forward to the session

It's been a long time since MVG upped his game. When's the last time he average 100+?

    11 matches I think?

I think that this match in particular will have him really motivated. BDO champ v PDC he want to show everyone who the big gorilla is :)

Can see him beating Glen by 4/5 legs

I heard on a recent darts podcast a mention of all possibly not well in MVG's personal life.

    Wife problems maybe?
