Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Like you guys. I would have had an interest in how buses were run alike with other modes of transport from a very early age.

I just don't know why these young fellas understand the idea that while these PSO vehicles are public property, as we live here, there is a lot of restrictions in place in how the public would be allowed to enter a bus here if they want to use it for their own purpose. They are not entitled to go into a bus whenever they feel like it with no conditions attached. The young lad, in this case, and others like them should have the cop-on to respect these rules straight away while it complies with the law.

If they risk themselves in taking the "initiative" in stealing these buses from the operator's garage on a whim without permission whilst they would have no formal experience of how to drive a bus in getting an official license to drive one; you would know the outcome of their actions straight away if they do it.

They would land themselves in a lot of hot water instantly if they get into serious trouble with the operators in question & from the state.

I've just seen 2 photos of GT159 in the new Dublin Bus Boh's 130th Birthday livery. Unfortunately I have read that some people online have complained about the livery & it was subsequently been taken down. Is this bit of news true?

okeeffe6789 from The Irish Road Passenger Transport Forum took these 2 photos of GT159. I think it looks well.

The NTA told DB to take it off apparently understandable really given Bohs are not the only professional football team in Dublin. Might not go down too well with Rovers or Shelbourne fans.

That's nuts. Seriously it's getting beyond ridiculous, everyone offended because they believe someone else is offended....

Would say it's more to do with the fact someone might put a brick through the bus because of the ad than just being offensive

Could say the same though about any ad.... Pink unicorns, 98fm, rainbow bus etc etc....

    They put windows in anyway.

Have to say it looked good on the gt

Even as a Shels fan I have no issue with that. It looks well.

In fact it would be a great idea, and a good, and given we are celebrating our 125 anniversary this year to stick a bus in the colours one of the big 4 Dublin clubs (and maybe UCD and Cabo and Bray).

All for this sort of promotion.

Is it fair to expect at this stage that the 205 markings would be removed off it ?

VWD 17 is the bus that has eluded me this year. Since lockdown started in March I have seen VWD 15,16,18-20 on the 101 but not VWD 17. This oddball spends all of its time in Dundalk with VWD 1 and 2 so I was glad to get a photo of it earlier this month on the 174:

Last night a GT was involved in a serious collision where an Almera ran a red and I heard was either stolen and or been chased, it was on Northumberland road, Driver and passenger injuries.
    Hope all recover.

    A dreadful incident.
Hope all recover without serious damage.

This sort of event is becoming all too common and will only get worse until government and the courts start to take it seriously.

Looks bad and hope all involved can make a full recovery and the scum responsible are reprimanded. On a lesser note I can't see GT8 returning to service too soon as it looks like some there was some nasty damage done to it. I'm guessing this happened on route 7 as GT8 is a Donnybrook bus.

That livery does not suit the AX at all.

Yellow should stop at bottom of windscreen and then blue around the headlights.
