Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Instant would probably mean so sort of signal directly from goalposts to referee.

You like that vibrating watch soccer refs wear?

    Keeper poor enough there

    Wet ball off slick grass

    Not easy

There is absolutely no way that the Hawkeye system they have in croke park can tell where the goalie caught the ball. If it did the graphics would show it.

All it shows is the trajectory was over the bar, which I don't think anyone would argue with

If it crosses the line for a point then it's a point, undoubtedly.

As I said, I’d be of the opinion that if a keeper can reach up and play the ball, even if it’s a foot behind the crossbar, then no score. Goal’s a goal alright.

Yeah I get that alright. Just thought it was quite central.

Also how much of the keepers hand does it count as the ball? As in how does it know the difference between a hand and a ball?

John O Dwyer with two terrible misses

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

John Donnelly playing well at wing forward

    Kennedy settled well.

    Looked shaky early on.

Disagree, over the line is a score, a wide or a 45/65.

This needs to clarified once and for all. Why is there no clamour from anyone in the media for clarity?

    100% correct decision

So long as such scores are given to both sides its not a massive issue. Overall Hawkeye is positive.

Edit, red for RH. Deserved but crikey.

Conditions my arse. Definite intent there. Well done referee.

Takes balls to flash a red in a AI final.

    Straight red all day long.

How come Johnny Cohen didnt get same treatment in 2015

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,363 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Kilkenny down to 14 men. From the radio commentary it was a yellow at most.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,464 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

    Could end up suiting kilkenny

Doubt it. Ref will give Kilkenny everything now.

It was a red card in my view. He was reckless with his elbow/shoulder raised and hit his head.

Not for me. It's a red. Deliberate elbow to the head.

    He can have no complaints

Kilkenny to win. Seen the extra man work against teams far too often.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,055 ✭✭✭JohnnyFlash

That’s the auld cynical Kilkenny stuff/tactic getting caught out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,268 ✭✭✭threeball

He definitely raised the elbow. Unusual for Richie. Haven't seen him get involved in that stuff before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Problem I have with that decision is that Barrett never got a yellow card when he had the neck high challenge on Hogan. Consistency is always an issue in the GAA

Hogan knew what he was doing, deliberately left the elbow in.
