Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I guess there was a bit of a run on these!

What happens if the postman arrives looking for vat and fees or do customs write first?

Can you claim it back after you pay the postman or what happens here

    I ordered 2 and 1 ,3 in total

I think they're being shipped with the value printed on the package

An Post don't just arrive without you having contacted customs with your reference and sorting out what's owed, in my experience.

Hopefully sending the invoice to them will clarify that there's no vat/fees due.

to be fair these are a GREAT bargain, the sonoff basics are about a fiver delivered can get them and the others from ebay, (this ebay shop is just an example)

    https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Sonoff-ITEAD-Smart-Home-WiFi-Wireless-Switch-Module-Fr-Apple-Android-APP-Control/332599444186?hash=item4d7078c2da:m:mFtlQcz6O06xiL1wij21rVw

Ive done my whole house with them, but messy having to cut lamp wires, crimping and screwdrivers, for 2.50e extra for a uk plug, this is a no-brainer.

head over to the sonoff page for ideas and help installing.

I had 10 spots in a living room/kitchen and they were been switched from 3 different switches, ie living room lights on 1 switch kitchen lights on another switch.... I stuck 3 of those son-offs on the incoming cables for each light circuit and stuffed them above the ceiling and they work perfectly.

It beats forking out 30 euro a piece for 10 philips hue light spots.

Will they definitely come via An Post for the last leg then?
Dispatch email says " it will be delivered by SingPost Unregistered"

Singapore Post to Ireland only, then (in my experience) stuff sits in the corner or the sorting office until someone can be bothered to actually sort them. I've had stuff sit around in Ireland for 2-3 weeks.

If you are contacted by Revenue and can provide your invoice showing the value is under the threshold then you'll be grand.

Posties used to collect monies owed but more recently Revenue/An Post won't release until you've paid.

Is that their way of circumventing the import duty. Kinda like what gearbest do.

Same as that, a warehouse sorting centre. I have an email from them to say it's dispatched. In that mail it lists the product and subtotal as being twice that I actually paid (30$ v 15$). I have a mail receipt from a week before saying I paid $15.

Same here, saying I paid twice what I actually paid. I’d say plenty will end up in portlaoise. Just be vigilant, keep an eye on the track and trace, and call portlaoise if you feel it’s there. Send them on the actual receipt and it’ll be fine.

    Phew! Thanks OP, bargain!

Tracking moved along fairly quickly and accurate goin by the last update of local post device having it yesterday. Ordered when the bargain alert was posted, so before the rush possibly?

ThIs is what mine is saying.

Preparing to Dispatch [Information Received] (Country code: IE)

I have no clue if that means that it's preparing to dispatch to Ireland or if it's here and it's preparing to dispatch to me....

It's a bit scant on details.

Well mine arrived. The inner box looked as though it had been dropped from a airplane. Opened it to figure find one of the pins loose in the bag. :(

Have one setup and working with Alexa no problems. My house is 5ghz and these only run over 2.4Ghz. Thankfully I had bought 2 wifi extenders, that run on 2.4Ghz, so setup a seperate smart home network. Resetting everything up now (Nest, Alexa and Philips Hue). Plugs work no problem.
