Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A quick google for "Pearl Izumi Elite Gel Full Finger Glove 2018" shows many results with a few of them coming up sub-€25 - mainly ebay.
Majority of them are in the >€40 bracket.

If you are running 11 speed Campag you can just use a Shimano Cassette as the spacing is ok.

Excellent set of wheels! Steal at this price, shame that they only have Shimano/SRAM freehub option:

Running 12 speed Record so unfortunately won't work until Shimano introduce their version of 12 speed

They’re a wired tyre and a pretty poor one at that. I used them years ago as they came standard on a low entry level bike. I took them off within a week or two as they were shockingly poor in the wet.

Just on the sports direct site and they have lots of Sugoi kit @ 25% of RRP in all sizes.

Has Mike Ashely bought the Sugoi name and logo, or are they genuine price drops?

They're genuine, but they have limited sizes and selections. They possibly got the stock when they bought Evans

Maybe a stupid question but is sugoi any good?
The pictures don’t do them any justice as the fittings look terrible in them.

It’s a premium brand. Check out the Sugoi website, seem to do a lot in the US.

I got a set of Sugoi bib tights a few years back that actually came up on this thread and they were very good quality.

Lidl have PTFE spray €2.99 today, 16th April, would it be any good, do you think? I got some anyway, the can feels a bit light, maybe. They also have silicon and maintenance sprays in the same range.

get the silicone spray for in a round the brake calipersand derailers. PTFE is much the same but both are far better on bikes than wd40 etc as the pick up less dirt.

There's also a big fan which could be useful for all the indoor training

Thanks for that, I already have a large can of Lidl silicon spray. I just thought I needed some PTFE to add to my extensive range of oils, greases, cleaners, lubes and lotions. You know how it is. I wonder might it be just regular oil with ia pinch of ptfe added? Hmm. It does have a nice picture of a rear derailleur though.

It's a deadly fan if you have the space it's pretty big. Three speeds and a nice wide fan so feels like a breeze

    Some lovely frames on there.

This would make for a great all rounder build, I'd love it but looking into the precipice ahead spending has been curtailed. :(

I have absolutely no need for this frame but that has never mattered up to now and n+1 has just kicked in.

So with that in mind how do Ridleys sit size wise. I'm a standard 56 user, 180cm and 31cm inside leg.

Standard 56 then I guess (if you mean the Helium), which seems to be their "Medium" (virtual Top Tube of bang on 560mm). I'm a 56 and I had a medium Ridley Orion for a few years which was bang on for me.

I'm 185cm / 34cm and had a large Orion some years ago. It was too big. Historically, Ridleys size up quite large and I will, wont would be buying a medium as a 565mm toptube is perfect for me so I'd make 560mm work. The Small frame (545mm) isnt too much smaller TBH, the gap to the the Large (585) is significant.

You might need to watch out for the seat-tube length in any case. I dont know much about ISP bikes, but quick maths on the Medium frame dimensions:
    740mm seat tube length
20mm allowance for saddle (...not much)
170mm crank length at bottom-dead-centre (shortish cranks too)
    ______
    930mm leg extension (minus a bit for shoes/cleats) = 36.5cm

Just check the measurements ....I doubt you'll get your toes safely on the ground while in the saddle when stopped?

Girona Cycle Centre, in Girona, have 50% off everything in their online shop, as they try to get cashflow during corona lockdown.

    Shop.gironacyclecentre.com

Lots of clothes and stuff, some great prices on shifters, derailleurs, etc, a few bikes. Worth a look.

They are new cranks with a refurbed srm power meter. If that business is closing down? - who looks after the warranty?

So far as I know they are not closing down, but locked down. They might, of course, go bust (like anyone else these days), but the sale is part of their survival plan, not a 'going out of business' sale. Caveat - I am just a customer and have no particular insight.

    Anyone bought from here before?

Tried to buy my first road bike from their place in Dundrum but on the day I was due to collect I turned up to find someone prepped it then another tool sold it to the next punter to walk in the door.
A couple of years later I ordered the child's Christmas bike off them. Got a bit nervous in mid December so checked with them and they said they were now out of stock but they could get me one in early January.
The final straw was the gloves they wouldn't allow me to return cos they refused to accept I wasn't a woman.

And yes, I'm the big thicko who kept giving them another chance

I left a bike in for a service. Took them a week , gave me the bike and he hasn’t being serviced.

When I went to pick it up it hadn’t being setup and someone from climbing section who hasn’t being on a bike for years dealt with me. As there was no “bike staff “ working. I could go on
