Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Spent most of yesterday evening digging out all the wet, moldy old silicone around the bath tub, cleaning, vacuuming and blow drying the entire area and adding a nice layer of fresh clean Tec 7 sealant to replace the old silicone. I'm driving myself crazy with anxiety at the moment though, worrying whether I done a good job or not. I pray that I won't have any leaks :(

I did that last year as we were having leaks. We still had leaks after I had finished so ended up getting it done again professionally which cost a couple of hundred euro.
Turns out the leaks were running along the pipe from the hot press so the sealant had nothing to do with it. €200 down the drain*.

*or not down the drain which was the problem on the first place

I cracked one day and said I AM right. Aaaaaaaargh.

TA I can already tell this is going to be an over eating day! Already had fluffy pancakes with melted Gouda, and a coffee and I'm scanning for something else...

Discovering I bought a ‘Fruit and Nut’ bar when I meant to get a ‘Whole Nut’.

I, probably, shouldn’t have bought it considering the amount of Easter egg chocolate around here but I did and now I’m sad about it and annoyed.

    Trivially so.

Waiting for my NCT. Outside, given the current situation. Wore my warm jacket, but could really do with gloves.

Or not reading Boards on my phone and putting my hands in my pockets.

    Brrrrrrrr.

    Edit: Fecker failed too!

I waited almost a week for a bottle of weed killer to arrive at my door (arrived two days earlier than expected). Finally, I thought.

Been dry all week, and mostly last week. The one time I finally get to use the weed killer, fúcking rain 5 hours later. It only rained for about 10 minutes so I hope it didn't do anything.

Made a big pot of curry earlier for friends of the family who are going through some stuff.

Kept the kitchen doors closed and windows open. The entire downstairs still reeks of curry. My hair and clothes reek of curry. The dog reeks of curry.

This is why I cannot get my head around the massive hard-on for open plan houses in this country. You'd stink out the whole house every time you cook fish, steak or literally anything involving cumin.

Last week for absolutely no reason my face mask smelled of curry all day. I hope you don't mind if I blame you .

Dear OH please stop behaving like you're the only one in this house with a f*cking job. If you say you're going to take the child at 1, take her at 1.

PS I earn more than you so if either of our jobs are to go, it'd be better to be yours :D

I applied for a passport online.
I’ve no idea when it will arrive.
I’m thinking of the mistakes I could have made filling out my details.
Also, I got a bit over enthusiastic with my hair clippers at the weekend and my photo looks like a mug shot from a US prison.

Haha. I remember saying this on my first. I wouldn't have chosen the name we actually gave him if we had him today as I have worked with 2 people with that name since then.

My list of people I hate? :D

Nothing on it so far, but it has to be a girls name, preferably French and at least two syllables :)

TA I really like the name Vivienne but someone pointed out that was Julia Roberts name in Pretty Woman!

Passive aggression amongst Irish co-workers. I just don't understand it all. Just say how you feel about something and work it out. But no you have to backtrack and sugar coat it. Grow up already and grow a pair.

    An idea :
A girl called Dara that I know was so named because she was the second child, i.e. Dara is Irish for "second". I don't like that (possibly coz I'm a second-born myself!)

Reserved something last week in Argos which I can only pick up today. At the time it was 160euro, now it's reduced to 120 but the price showing for me is still 160 :(

I think they'll give you the discount at the till, IIRC.

If you dont pick it up i.e. leave it there. Argos will abandon the order in a few weeks and refund your money. Tactic.

The problem is some of those names are being ruined now by pretentious spelling by parents who want to set their kids apart. It's Aimez with a silent Z etc. (That might be an exaggeration) :)

Just waiting to leave hospital now where they stitched an artery and put 13 staples in my head.
Ok maybe a bit more than trivial but let's not nitpick :pac:
