Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are you the next big thing?, do you have a bubbly personality or just a great passion for radio.
If you match this criteria, we want you!

We are a hot adult contemporary station looking for presenters to volunteer for various slots throughout the week. To be considered for this job you will need:
    -A stable internet connection
    -A music collection
    -A microphone

We aren't looking for short linking jocks with little charisma, we want presenters with personality and passion for what they do. A knowledge of music or simply even just a bit of humor is all it takes to rock the airwaves.

We would ask are presenters to commit to a daily or weekly slot.
    ie. Weekdays:
    Drivetime (4-7), Mid-Morning (10-1), Evening (7-10), Breakfast (6-10).

Specialist programming overnight and during weekend hours is applicable to this application eg. dance or indie music shows

Whilst we try to keep most of our programming exclusive to our own station, we would except syndicated music, speech or dance shows to apply.

Email your demo (MP3) no longer than 3 minutes
    your previous experience (if any)
    and your contact details
    to gavindowd@live.co.uk

    Good Luck applying!

Thanks PrettyPolly! I missed that one, unfortunately I don't think its suitable for me as they are looking for a news/journalism producer, I run a self produced and promoted independent EDM show, I've been building it up for 2 years now and it goes out to over 180,000 every week to a large network of stations and up to 48,000 people directly on my app, I've had over 700,000 downloads on my podcast back catalogue this year too, figures many regional stations would be proud of achieving for one little show. I've got a background in marketing, I'm sure I would be a great asset to any station, I just have to keep looking for a job, its a shame really as WLR is local to me. I will post up any more radio jobs I find in the hope that it may help somebody else on here looking for a job in radio, this thread is great for keeping up to date on what's out there.

You mailed local stations just offering your services even if that aren't offering any jobs, if you go in and show your an asset first then ask for a job you seem even more invaluable.

Salaries are very varied depending on the job in question and are generally not public information. What particular job are you interested in finding out the salary for?

I didn't say I don't know, I said I couldn't tell you (specifically) what the salary would be. It's a senior marketing position covering three prominent stations in the Communicorp group. There's no doubt it will be well paid. Applications have closed for that particular job now anyway.

KCLR is the local radio station for Carlow and Kilkenny and we’ve just been awarded our second 10 year licence by the BAI. Over the past months we’ve been working hard to develop our programming and schedule to ensure that we remain the number one choice for listeners in our area.

Now, we’re looking for new on-air talent for swing and holiday cover presentation.

Working primarily on mainstream music-driven programmes, we’re looking for gifted communicators who are passionate about radio and who understand how to engage, entertain and relate to adult audiences. A great voice is a given and previous experience is essential. Local market knowledge an advantage; ‘show and go’ merchants need not apply!

Please send a recent sample of your on-air work and brief outline of your experience to talent @ kclr96fm.com* before June 7th. Demos should be in Mp3 format and no longer than 4 minutes in duration.

          *Please remove spaces

Fixed the link. Yes, Raid Radio. This is a hobby, but I have automation software etc running on it, and its a fully functioning icecast server - so basically all's needed are DJs and shows. Thats what the data on that linked page is about - how to connect to the server and the different ways of running a show etc etc. Kinda aimed at people who want to mess about with running a radio show, though in a much less professional setting.

I have the server and I dont mind sharing it. Some current shows, like Serendipitous Compendium run their own podcasts and site etc. They just let me broadcast their show and have it on the playlist.

It in that kind of spirit that Im looking for anyone interested in doing shows - either live, or pre-recorded.

          Hi guys,

I'm working on a show about books and writing (30 mins per week, pre-recorded) with Dublin City FM and am looking for a researcher and a sound engineer. I'm not sure if you are aware, but Dublin City FM is run by volunteers so this is not a paid position, but it's great experience for the CV and fun as well!

Researcher/producer role: Arts graduate would be ideal. Creative, full of ideas and interested in reading.

Sound engineer: A college background in sound engineering would be ideal. If you're not 100% confident with regard to handling the recording of a show, we can get someone to show you the ropes and take it from there.

PM or email lynsey.thebookclub@gmail.com for more info.

          Thanks!
          Lynsey.
