My Roborock arrived yesterday (ordered in 11.11 sales) first impression are brilliant. Done all of our small cottage this morning with zero problems and I was shocked how much the dust bin picked up! Yet to try the mop function but the vacuum is excellent

30C down to £169 on Amazon, pulled the trigger on another one for the sister in law

The Eufy 11S seems to be getting some good reviews from what i am reading. Any opinions on whether i should pull the trigger? Price is currently £147 down from £200 so seems like a decent deal?

I just picked up the Eufy 15C Max on amazon.es for €182... They also have the 30C for €159... Both are higher spec than the 11S. Just factor in an extra €10 for a 3 pin plug to go with it.

The 15 Max has suction power of 2000ps, compared to 1300 from the 11S. Plus the max uses the app and works with Google Assistant and Alexa.

Cool. Might hold out a bit so as the price may come down further on the UK site based on that.

I cant believe you managed to get the 15C Max for 182. I wanted to get that one two weeks ago on amazon.co.uk but it was out of stock so got the 11s Max for 200 euro.

Delighted with is so far but wondering now could it be possible to return this one and possibly get the better model 15C Max.

Best price I've seen on a s50 is €313 on Ali Express Inc delivery, from Polish warehouse on this Friday. estimated 3-5 days delivery
    Anything better out there?

Want the roborock for both the vacuum and mop function and to be able to use the map it scans for itself to set zones. Also hope to import that map into Home Assistant.

That's not a bargain much, I got mine for 315 Inc delivery (Spain I think, mAybe polish warehouse) in September from banggood. Admittedly there was some sort of "promotion discount" on but I think that was just some hype

for me it may end up eufy 15c 182 euros max vs roborock s50 315 euros.
    vacuum vs vacuum+mop

Is the price of the s50 likely to drop on Amazon this week, have vouchers and dont know if I should just go with the eufy?

The laser mapping on the roborock is a big step up, means it will get the whole area cleaned faster.

I got Roborock on 11.11 sale on AliExpress for 298euro from one of the European wearhouses think polish. Was ordered on a Monday and arrived following Monday. Amazing piece of kit and the mopping function is handy too. Won't be as good as a proper clean but is good enough to tide over for a few days. Better than nothing I say

This was a big deterrent for me for a long time. But in got to the stage where I had the hoover out 3 or 4 times a day so I pulled the trigger. Best decision I ever made. You will have to pick up bits and bobs but easier that getting Henry out all the time!

It looks like most sellers of the s50 are around that price.
You'll need to check for coupons on the main page to bring it down to the 287 mark.

Ship from France with eu plug?

I don't see an option for one with a 3 pink plug from Europe... So either pay additional customs charges from China, or buy a 3 pin plug seperate...

we have the roborock for a good while now. It's good but the battery isn't great. That said, it wouldn't be an issue if it wasnt gettin nudged off its charge point fairly frequently.

How large are these? And how manoeuvrable are they?

We have about 50sq.m downstairs but we've a lot of furniture, rugs etc so wondering how good a job it would do for us?

roborock is 33cm disk. Reasonably maneuverable. Will try to naviagate around obstacles in a logical manner. Might get stuck trying to traverse a door saddle or something like that. We use ours in one room at a time because our son doesnt like it. The furniture shouldnt be a problem but high or deep pile rugs might be.

It has a mopping feature but it's not great. Just drags a damp cloth over your floor. We don't bother with it. It does a good job of vacuuming though.

4 & 7 year old. Toys mostly confined to playroom, which can be virtually cordoned off if need be. Otherwise no issues, they learn to pick up the small Lego sharpish! Constantly amazed at how much dust it collects every run, which is every day. Either that or it actually produced dust to fill the bin to make you think it's doing a good job!

We use it in one room at a time. Clear the floor then run it. He is almost 2 and is scared of it.

I wish my two year old was scared. Constantly drags it out then presses the return to Dock button. Thinks its great fun.

My kid constantly presses the button to start it, goes "Argh!" and runs over to grab onto me. He gets a buzz out of giving himself a fright.

i was just about to order the eufy robovac 15c max, but then realised that it doesn't have mapping.

Is mapping an absolute requirement (for a large ground area)?

Or is it a "feature" that isn't really necessary?

If it is, what's the best value?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,747 ✭✭✭Bluefoam

If you want the vacuum to go around precisely while you watch it, then mapping is important. It's an expensive feature.

The Eufy has proven in testing (worth watching some YouTube reviews of their models) to be very effective at covering the entire floor. Because it is random, it often covers parts twice or more, therefore is often more thorough. Set it while you're in bed, or out of the house, it'll be very worth while. If you have the extra money go for a more advanced system, but it's unlikely the cleaning will be that much better...

If your house is so big that the vacuum cannot do one floor in 100 minutes, the mapping would be important. If you want to exclude floor areas, mapping is an advantage. I'd prefer to just let the vacuum do its thing every second day and just keep the place clean.

    Just my thoughts.

In the same boat, from having a look through threads on here the S5 Roborock seems to be the best value with mapping. A bit outside my price range so was hoping for a price drop this week. I'm prob just going to go with the Eufy 30c on sale on amazon at the moment.
