Either you’re outraged about your manager slapping you on the arse, or you’re not. Either way it’s entirely your own business how you choose to proceed - either make a complaint against your manager, or get on with your life. What you choose to do in your particular circumstances has no bearing on what anyone else chooses to do in similar circumstances.
