    Thought this was a bad joke initially. Friend has a horse used for equestrian and has been advised by stable owner to get it vaccinated. Although vaccine only lasts 8 weeks!

    I think most trainers vaccinate against this disease - it is a worrying outbreak though and is a horrible disease for any horse to get. The FEI (world governing body of Showjumping, Eventing etc.) have posted the following update today:
