    Welcome to Boardsies Greatest Movie Sequel - Live Thread

    Format:

    Preliminary round of 39 matches
    Seeded movies will get a bye into round 1, which will consist on 64 movies
    Early rounds will use a quota vote to win with a time limited if quota is not reached. From the QF on, a time limit will be used.

    Trainspotting T2 - Very self aware and legitimately a bit of craic. The loyalist lodge scene was brilliant.

    Scary movie 2 - anything is better than marvel
    T2 trainspotting - great bit of work tying togethe the differences between the earlier film and book and the changes needed from the second book as it was probably unfilmable (unless made for pornhub). Good craic.

    Not voting on matches where I haven't seen both

    I hope somebody chose Ripley's Game. It slipped my mind, a sequel that is better than the original film, which was great too.

    T2 Trainspotting - good sequel, though Herbie was funny too.
    Blade Runner 2049 - another good sequel, and I really line Denis Villeneuve's aesthetic.
