With an alleged fleet shortage and with another 4 years of use permissible under the current PSO contract does anyone know why the majority (26? of the 32 - 3 left in Broadstone and 3 in Cork?) of the 2008 LDs have been taken out of service over the last number of months? 4 of them have been in long term storage for several years in Inchicore and over the last few months joined by 13 more LDs (aswell as an SP). I know originally the 4 stored ones were to have corrosion work done but it never happened.
