Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interestingly, i have seen this reported in multiple foreign sites, (UK,US, RU etc) but not on any irish site yet.
The only Irish court reporter consistently worth reading had a report yesterday.

On a Galway note, this pivot into the sugared sandwich market was what a strange end to Bookfinders Limited (now in receivership) which was better known for many years as the ABC Bookshop.

...for the purposes of calculating VAT. Any other usage of bread isn't affected (unless it depends on the VAT legislation definitions)

Would be interested to know where else "bread" is on the statute book.

Not necessarily referring to explicit usage of bread in the text of the law. For example, I very much doubt that this ruling has any effect on whether Subway can use the word bread in their advertising

Because it was reported extensively yesterday, and you're seeing the foreign sites catch it a day later.

Isn't there an important case on Passing Off about bread? Probably not what you were looking for...

Did you actually read the linked articles?

There is a maximum allowed % to qualify for VAT exemption.

Most bread has some sugar but not the 10% + sugar subway uses ,most have between 1-2% at most

What an absolute waste of the Supreme Court's time. Hope his legal bill was astronomical.
