Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can imagine we will get maybe one or two gigs announced but other than that id say thats the summer done in terms of gigs cant see any other ones. Your right id say the euro championships has played a major role in the lack of big gigs across europe seems Gnr and Green day are the only acts doing big enough tours during that time. Id say Next year will be back to normal with a Slane and a jam packed June as usual id say the next big announcement will be Picnic on the 11th and id say itll be Liam Gallagher , Kings of Leon , RATM as the headliners seeing as their doing the festivals during that time.

Dont think it'll be kings of leon as they're playing a festival in the states the same weekend. Liam Gallagher fairly likely id imagine as he didnt announce a Dublin date this summer

Your right sorry i just based it off of the fact that they are all over Europe this summer and havent announced a show here yet. Surprised they havent either considering they always sell well here

The 65.70 includes the €1 restoration fee

    So it will be 65.70 + 7.15= €72.85

Cork is 42 plus fees too.
The Olympia is owned by MCD/Livenation now and they seem to be overpricing alot of gigs there the last year or so.

The Opera House is a vastly better venue too.

They did the exact same thing with Billy Corgan back in June all his shows were very reasonably priced but when it came to the olympia they increased the price by ×4 from 22 quid to over 80 including booking fee. Its Mcd and Live Nation that set the prices and 70 euro to see Ian is a joke and its turning into a regular thing unfortunatley

Supergrass were only 50 quid and this manc chancer is looking for 50% more, jog on!

And it's €50 for the whole day to see Supergrass, Echo & the Bunnymen, Fun Lovin' Criminals and others.

Think somebody badly miscalculated hos prices.

Does the Opera House have an option to remove seats to make a standing section?

This thread is an absolute mess. About 3 gig posts amongst the last 30/35 posts (plus this one). These gig threads used to be a great resource, now there's an inane amount of clutter to wade through.

    Totally agree with this.

Maybe it's time to have a separate thread for announcements only and another for chat. It'll give the same few posters the chance to waffle on about AC/DC in Slane, Pearl Jam etc....

    No, no and also no.

There's plenty of threads on boards where there's a "no chat" policy. I think one here would work fine.

Then this thread would die a death, discussing of gigs is fine.

It goes off track sometimes but most of the time it’s relevant to an announcement
