    I think Q-School deserves it's own thread.

Breaking news that John Part has pulled out of Q-School. I very much doubt he would have won a card anyway.

Larry Butler has also pulled out for the same reasons as Part. Again though, he had no chance of winning a card.

Look forward to this each year
If I remember right - the format is more or less the same as the players championships floor tournaments
Except here the two finalists each day win a card?
Everyone else gets points depending how far they get each day, and at the end of the week the top x amount of players who haven't already qualifed by getting to a final qualify?

I think it slightly different this year. There's a pre tournament where the best performing qualify for a final round against players who lost their tour card in the year gone by (compensation for players due to less tour events last year). Robert Thorton is one of the players who got a bye into final round

Christ, Barney odds on to win his card.

If I was a betting man I’d be all over the 11/10 on him not winning one!

Was just going to post those 11/10 odds, I think there's value there

Speaking of odds, I see Sherrock is 7/2 to win a card while Hedman is 25/1. There's hardly that much between them? 7/2 on Sherrock is poor value imo

Must be a few backing her.

That and the bookies wouldn't know most of the players outside of the ones who appeared at the world championships. A few players odds have shifted significantly after a couple of backers like Jitse Van Der Wal- gone from 25/1 to 6/1

Cameron Menzies disqualified because he was at the toilet when his game was supposed to be on

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,996 ✭✭✭boomdocker

Lorraine and Dean Winstanley still both in, that could be interesting,.,

Fallon Sherrock out in the L64. I'm probably one of the few that's not surprised.

The true test of Barneveld is how he reacts to losses during Q School. Interested to see how he fares tomorrow.

I mean if he can't comfortably get through these prelim stages ....
Although there were glimmers - I see he is the only player in either Q school to ave >100 in a game today

Welsh player Derek Coulson is playing really well in the UK one:
    1st game 6-0 95 avg.

    2nd game 6-4 91 avg.

    3rd game 6-2 89 avg.

    last 16 6-0 91 avg.
