Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jose De Sousa's world cup of darts partner, Jose Marques, hits a nine darter in the last 16.

Overall standard with today's group of UK and Euro players far higher than the previous set going by the averages

Alan Norris off to decent start 2 6-0 wins and 89 and 87 avg. Plays Portela now

Beaten buy 'Ice-Cold' in the last 16, who subsequently won his final
Thought he was dead and buried against Portela - he was 5-3 down but reeled off 3 on the spin

Hit a 10-darter in the last round as well

Danny Baggish out first round again. It's looking very unlikely for him.

Same with young American lad Lauby. Gone out first round twice now despite averaging in the 90's both games. His opponents threw 90's against him, worst luck with draws

He has been seriously unlucky when you look at some of the dross being played

    Gary Mawson yesterday prime example

Matt Campbell is going strong today in the euro one. Few high 80 and 90 averages.

2005 World finalist Mark Dudbridge on another decent run today

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Matt Campbell lost in the 'final' but he already has enough points to get through.

Mark Dudbridge got through today, great to see him playing well again. Irish player Martin Heneghan also through.

Beau Greaves drew Damon Heta in consecutive first rounds last year, how's your luck!

I see John o Shea had a good run, hopefully enough to get through. Galway man Hennigan was one of the favorites to win a card, cruised through today great to see

Goran with a 46 average today but his blushes spared by Swiss player Rava with a 36 average. Don't think even I could throw that bad

Alan Norris has enough points to qualify for round 2

Irish player Liam Gallagher beats Diogo Portella in first round which knocks Portella out completely

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

    Daniel Baggish makes it through

John o Shea wins 6-2 in his first game average of 104 seriously impressive darts

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Shane O'Connor and Niall Culleton won their first round games as well, Gavin Carlin winning 4-1 at the minute. Not a bad start for the Irish lads

Culleton extremely unlucky against Thornton. Broke Thornton to go 3-2 up and busted 20 finish on his own throw letting Thornton back in; Never really recovered from it

    Martin Heneghan beats Thornton 6-4

Board #8 on the euros extremely tough: Dekker, Gawlas, Kurz, Rusty Jake Rodriguez and Lukas Wenig

Van Barneveld much easier board- Jerry Hendriks only name I recognise

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Didn't happen for Heneghan today, he is gone already.

Fallon Sherrock gone too in the First Round.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Scott Mitchell and Mark Dudbridge gone first round too.

Shane O'Connor hammered Aaron Monk 6-2, Shane McGuirk bet Liam Gallagher

Martin Heneghan lost 6-2 to Andrew Gilding

    Edit as above

Martin Schindler with a 123 average against Stefan Nilles

Shane McGuirk out in the last 32 which is a shame as he was having a great day.

Gavin Carlin is now the last one standing. Another win and he would be looking good in the order of merit at the very least.

Carlin in last 16, think I seen it mentioned online roughly 7 OOM points will get you tour card

Barney beaten in semi final. Very close on OOM anyway

Van Barneveld bet in first round by a Swiss player. Its a big result for Matt Campbell who is on the same board

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Barney was just knocked out in the first round today. Could be under pressure now depending on who picks up points today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Early exits for Matt Campbell and Daniel Baggish. Their chances of getting tour card through order of merit pretty much gone

Baggish has been a huge disappointment.

Unterbunchner out as well, was expecting him to do well

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Nico Kurz gone as well. Lost against German throwers in the past 3 days so far

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Gordon Mathers in with a shout of getting a card. Wouldn't of thought that after his recent world championship appearance

A lot of players I've never heard of getting cards.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Matt Campbell draws Lorenzo Pronk first game, not optimistic about his chances.

Barney has on paper an easy board with Van De Pas only notable name

Kist, Kurz and Luc Peters all drawn on same board

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

    Robert thornton out first round
