Same with young American lad Lauby. Gone out first round twice now despite averaging in the 90's both games. His opponents threw 90's against him, worst luck with draws

He has been seriously unlucky when you look at some of the dross being played

Mark Dudbridge got through today, great to see him playing well again. Irish player Martin Heneghan also through.

Goran with a 46 average today but his blushes spared by Swiss player Rava with a 36 average. Don't think even I could throw that bad

Shane O'Connor and Niall Culleton won their first round games as well, Gavin Carlin winning 4-1 at the minute. Not a bad start for the Irish lads

Other Irish players Martin Heneghan and Niall Culleton through as well. All of them averaging in the 90's

Culleton extremely unlucky against Thornton. Broke Thornton to go 3-2 up and busted 20 finish on his own throw letting Thornton back in; Never really recovered from it
