Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Little Lion Man was released in mid-2009, probably shouldn't be eligible here

    Hmmm.. Good point.

    Disqualified.

    Instead have this

And that was the only one of the last 9 getting a YAY from me.

NAY to the last bunch of 8 then for me please.

    The Greatest Showman ; Nay
always found this songs a bit meh, think the title song is much better

    YONAKA ; Yay
one of my nominations, one of my favourite new bands from the last few years

    Blue October ; Nay
heard another song of theirs that I really liked, but this one is not really grabbing me

    Blake Shelton ; Yay
great song, big fan of it

    John Legend ; Nay
never understood the hype surrounding this lad, find it all very bland

Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne ; Yay
yep, can't fault this one, have always really liked it

    Carrie Underwood ; Yay
another of my nominations, she has such a great voice, and just a really well put together song

    Adele ; Nay
never heard this one before, but not one of her better songs

    Bastille ; Yay
forgot about this one actually, 'tis a good song, probably not a winner, but like it enough for Round 1

    tldr version ;
Yay for YONAKA, Blake Shelton, Clean Bandit, Carrie Underwood, Bastille
    Nay for all the rest

Lots of country & western going on - was 2010s a C&W decade? Also a lot of The Voice judges popping up. Adam Levine is an amazing singer but some of his Maroon 5 stuff is poor

Late entry brings us up to 258 songs with 30 songs now having multiple nominations. Thanks for your picks Mighty Quinn!

That's it though, I've a spreadsheet to organise after work and a Movie Walrus to attend :D

Every decade is a Country & Western decade. Whoop! Whoop! :D

With the likes of Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus crossing over to more mainstream pop, Country music in general started becoming a bit poppier and rockier than it had been previously, so it definitely became somewhat more popular with the masses in the 2010s I think.

I nominated a Taylor Swift song but was just surprised by the number of them popping up in this section!
