Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As a woman (and I know nobody can speak for an entire gender lol) if someone asked me to go jogging with him, if I liked him I'd be reluctant for him to see me sweaty and working out although perhaps shes not as shallow as me. If you run together you would have to maintain 2metres, and first dates are hard enough without having to shout small talk at each other from opposite sides of the road! :) second the coffee :)

Ps sorry for invading the gentlemen's thread but have been following like it's a beautiful romantic film unfolding! Best of luck OP

Hey Antares welcome to this forum, its good to have the opinion of the opposite sex on the majority of things.

    " Hi " , " oh here , someoneorother" "come here for a sec"

    She will stop .

Start Talking - it does not matter what you talk about, avoid politics, religion or sex for the first while however .. and money.

Get the small talk going, let the games begin.

Otherwise she just sees some bloke in a tracksuit and wellies holding a bucket, it sounds like daft postcard from Borris in Ossory.

    Get that babes attention.

super fit ladies are way too high maintenance imo , i used to look at hot ladies and go " wow id love to tongue punch her ...... " then my brother made a valid point when he said " somewhere there is a bloke who is sick of her bs "

This can't still be an ongoing situation, at this stage they should be talking about holidaying somewhere next year (its a civid tease). What's the OP waiting for, a cattle prod? For fu¢ksake get a move before somebody else's does. Talk about slow moving

Stop with the excuses and ask her out before some other lad does.

Very friendly and we have s good chat when we meet..

You're spoken to her more than once already - you're 75% down the road. These day and age (COVID-19 aside, I mean it as a cultural thing) making "first contact" with someone is actually the hard bit.

Just ask her to get some coffee or something - again, I know it might be an issue with the COVID situation. Worst case scenario, she will say "thanks but no thanks".

Feel like unsubsrcibing myself at this stage..

If we meet we chat but the only time we meet is out running and not in the same direction, believe me If we were going in the same direction I'd put on the afterburners to catch up !

    Yes I'm a disaster...

So switch up your route if you meet her. If you see her coming against you slow down and ask if she'd like to run together, and then go the same direction as her if she says yes. Look, I get it, I'm a complete disaster when it comes to flirting and attracting people too, but it's all just excuses you're building up in your mind. Worst case scenario is she says no and you get on with your life.

So nobody suggested Strava stalking her to find out her routine?

What's become of Boards.ie at all?

Instead of wellies, he'll be in a tux with a box of milk tray next time.

The fact you are chatting at all is a good sign. Look just bite the bullet and ask her out.

    Is the OP 15?

Pull up when you see her coming, she'll surely stop to say hello. Ask her out, get the yes and then jog on as they say.

First they came for the socialists...

With you're current strategy, you could be 90 before anything happens. She'll be too slow to run away from you then.

Next time you see her out running, any direction. Slow down and stop. Call out to her...Hi, I was hoping to bump into you....90% chance she will stop to hear what you have to say....introduce yourself....she will too and then say now that the pubs are open (they definitely will be b the time you get around to it!) any chance I could take you for a drink some evening? Done

The worst that can happen is she's not interested or thinks your odd. Embarrassment & rejection has to be better than doing nothing!

At this point my best advice is to avoid her now like the plague, this is going on for months now and it looks like she has even changed up her jogging routine?

You creeped her out, leave it..... and massively do not hang around a ditch waiting to spot her tomorrow, that really is acting the creep.

    I am sorry.

Hey OP, since your probably going to go to prison for what happens next, (jumpingoutof bushes on top of women, don't matter what lovelorn excuse you use)I want to thank you for this amusing thread, and while your slopping out in arbour hill (with the sex cases), you can always say for awhile you were normal

There was a few of these threads and the guy didn't ask the girl out in any of them.
Forget about this woman OP, but a word of advice next time you see one you fancy go and talk to her straight away while you have the nerve.
the longer you leave it and build it up in your mind the more difficult it gets to approach somebody.
