Haven't seen a glimpse of blue in the sky all day 100% cloud cover but dry (for now) across from the river shannon in limerick. Very dark and dreary and winds picking up strength. I expect the pressure will continue to drop overnight and by 5am rain will be widespread in the south

And it has got even more intense. Looks like Mullingar and Kinnegad are taking a hammering. Another cell has just fired off around Birr, Offaly and is knocking on Tullamores door, where it already raining quite heavily. Surprised of the lack of sparks.
