    And it has got even more intense. Looks like Mullingar and Kinnegad are taking a hammering. Another cell has just fired off around Birr, Offaly and is knocking on Tullamores door, where it already raining quite heavily. Surprised of the lack of sparks.

    I had been expecting good things for today, after yesterday's damp squid, and ME's forecasts both days.

    However, it has not come to pass. The sun hasn't shown itself for anything more than a few minutes this afternoon and otherwise it just been overcast, albeit warm.

    Mostly cloudy here today with a few short lived bright spells,had a short lived shower during the late morning,anyway despite the lack of sunshine easily the warmest day of the year so far,max temp 20.2c,currently 16.6c.
