Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

3 lads in having "the scoff". I was there for 25 minutes and it was still there when I was going.

Small hotel car park and only 1 spot free. Tight squeeze but got in. Hope it causes a headache for the Peugeot

Tesco Tullamore this morning before 9am. It's not even close to the kerb. Abandoned isn't a strong enough word for this. Driver must have been brain dead. Car park 99% empty too.

Park in the recycling set down area and toddle off to do your shopping. Milfield in Balbriggan has tons of spaces so there's no excuse.

Couldn't be bother to park in an actual disabled spot (there were plenty free) so they made their own.... Milfield in Balbriggan.

Place half empty, loads of spaces to choose from

Nah. I’ll just park on top of the only other car around

The back lighting in the photo is obscuring huge wheelchair symbols on the spots. The posts in front of each spot are there solely to reinforce the fact they are disabled parking spots.
In fairness, the Passsssats are notoriously wide, often requiring two extra wide spots & thus, have an affinity with these disabled parking spaces.

I dropped in to Joe Dalys in Dundrum yesterday to find this genius has taken 50% of their designated spaces, because he couldn't be arsed reversing a bit.

    505759.jpeg
    505761.jpeg

Then across the road, one of the Domino's drivers decided that the path and bike lane is the best place to wait, to save the arduous 20m walk to the car park.
    505760.jpeg

Down the road in Donnybrook, Mr 'save the environment Tesla couldn't be arsed to find decent parking, so he just dumped it on the path / double yellows.

Ken blacks portlaoise. A dozen spaces each side.

Mod - scaled down and rotated it for you

Noticed this car this morning outside Lidl in Ballincollig. Not the worst parking I've ever seen but not the best either.
The thing that annoyed me was when I was leaving, I noticed the store security guard taking his jumper from the back seat and going back in-store.
The car park was empty but it's still taking the pi$$

I'm sorry I didn't get the full car into the pic now (208 van). A very unfortunate lad indeed. Every time he parked in the disabled spot at TUH he was unlucky that the blue disc fell into this position.

You'd have to wonder how FOUR drivers ended up parking badly like this at Supervalu Ballinteer. It's not terrible parking, just awful sloppy. Did one person come in straight, and the other three followed without thinking?

    510577.jpg

And two other gobdaws nearby who decided that at the time when footpaths are most desperately needed for pedestrians, that's a good time to slap the motor down on the path.

Tesco portlaoise. Close to the shop entrance, she decided to take up not 1, but 2 disabled spots. No blue card either

Golden Island / Tesco, Athlone. Usual story. Carpark has PLENTY of empty spaces. Even the family parking spots, that are as near the door as this patch were half empty.

Pulled straight on to footpath beside disabled parking bays, queued up for Halfords & emerged some time later with a 50c sponge.
Hazard lights on though - so that's OK .

Closer to the middle of the road than inside the parking space!

  • Registered Users Posts: 357 ✭✭pandabat

Dunnes Ballyvolane - has a disabled badge/sign but totally missed the boundaries of the space and so isn't showing any great respect to any potential disabled user of the other space to the right.

It's an insignia so it seems quite normal for them to be parked as such...
