Just wondering what you guys prefer to power electricity onboard a boat. I see most people on youtube have solar panels attached and they're now attaching small wind turbines.

How do these fair against a fuel generator?

Solar and wind power is grand for small things like charging a laptop and running led lights or as a trickle charge to batteries I don't quite feel we are there yet as to running a boat unless you have the space like the roof of a barge, running anything like a microwave through an inverter puts a big drain on your batteries so better to have your engine running or a generator.
