Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I bought this for my car;

    122555-5588.jpg

Works well. Not great for calls. A little bit more expensive too, I guess. But, no need to charge it up etc.

I wouldn't be buying gadgets for the car. They're all a distraction from driving

The research showed that wireless phone calls were just as much a hazard as mobile use

Each to their own I suppose

    First few reviews aren't glowing.

To be fair, some of the forums I'm reading, people weren't happy that they were announced at €26 and are already going up in price. But some early posts coming in saying that they're average.

But haven't had them for any length of time yet.

My I9S' arrived yesterday and I have to say, I am really impressed. Almost exactly the same dimensions as the apple airpods so really comfortable in ear. Very little audio delay too. To the point where I couldn't really notice it at all while watching a video. Sound is good considering they cost €15. I haven't tested battery yet so we will see.

The only con I have so far is when they are connected to anything, there is an intermittent blue flash from each of them. I guess it's connection indicator. It's really bright and only serves to bring attention to them when they are in my ears.

What’s the sound like? And how long does the battery last thank you

Somebody posted the creative outlier sport a few posts back - good price on amazon at £40 - have had a pair for over a year and the 11 hour battery life is excellent - sweatproof for the gym too and very good sound quality imo

    Would recommend

    Announced at approx $35(/€30).

Most people complaining about prices, where looking at gearbest and early listings from aliexpress. Prices seem to now have stabilized at around €35.

As there are not available till the 11th, I don't know how people could be actually reviewing the product yet. No reliable youtuber has feature them yet, probably prevented from doing so until there officially available.

Early reviewers from Head-Fi and audioholics Telegram posting about them, albeit small posts. I haven't seen any photos yet though.

They were 100% announced at $29/€26, but that is only relevant as to why people are complaining. Most preview articles state 'less than $30'.

Not sure how reliable the site is to be honest.

They are a sister site of Gearbest, and that's the worst site I've ever used, but these may be slightly different. I've ordered a few small/promo items from them and they've all come quick enough. It's only the last week I've ordered anything worth more than €5 from them.
Dresslily/Rosegal/Gearbest and a few others are under the one umbrella.
    ShenZhen Globalegrow E-Commerce Co., Ltd.

I'm sure they will also appear on other sites for a similar price if you want to avoid them.

That was me and I also recommend them. GREAT sound, fantastic battery life, and they last a while. I am on my second pair, got probably a year or so out of my first, and I use my headphones all day and half the night!

Is there much sound isolation with these? Say if you were on a bus how high is the volume needed to drown out background noise etc.

I would say typical levels you get with decent fitting in ears - it won't be noise cancelling levels or anything close but blocks out a bit, you would still hear bus announcements/train announcements or whatever.

The 11 hour battery life was the big draw for me - a lot of pairs only give you 6-7 which is more of a drag that you might think.

I manage to hear absolutely nothing when I'm wearing these! Although I listen at very high volume so maybe that's why I experienced them differently.

Had this problem with lots of bluetooth earphones where the mic and buttons are on one side, so I snipped an elastic and tied them to a thin hairband which I wear around my neck so the earphones can't fall or slide down one side. My work colleagues think I should patent the idea :D

    Airdots first review

    Pros:

great audio quality with the right sources

build quality is great and looks fine in person

communication range is good (ironiclly could be the only perk bt5 brings to the AirDots)

four hours battery life without recharging

great value for the price point

    Cons:

music could sound slightly worse with the wrong device / audio format combos

huge turn off as only Chinese voiceovers are used as feedback sound instead of beeping patterns

    pressure controls are a mess

    no multi source support

Would these come under the customs threshold as the shipping is free or would they add the proce of the postage stmp

Don't know what they're like, but they shouldn't get stopped.
Customs will waive anything under €6 and these would fall into that, as they're not under €21.

Was going to post about them, but could not find any review videos when I saw them.

HBQ-Q13S TWS Mini Bluetooth 5.0 Stereo Earbuds with Mic & Charging Box
€20.60 €34.33 40% off ~~~ Same as you linked (you can change currency to Euro on the site).

    There is also these:-

S2 TWS Stereo Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds Earphones with Charging Box
    €24.03 €39.48 39% off

Both have Bluetooth 5.0 and larger capacity battery in the charging box than Xiaomi Airdots.

Choices for TWS Earbuds with 5.0 Bluetooth, there is a large range starting from around €20. Probably allot of rebranded clones of similar devices.

@tajd Did you get the Pro's And Con's from this post?

    [REDDIT] Discussion My AirDots review

It is a long post, here is these parts.
    ....

There was also one thing I HATED that deserves a separate paragraph. What kind of genius thought it was a good idea to make all the feedback sounds IN CHINESE VOICEOVER ONLY?

    ....
    Conclusion

Overall the AirDots are nice true wireless earphones for a very cheap price, the build quality is great as other Mi products, it offers competitive audio quality to be used when jogging, at gym workouts or with trips on public transports, and battery life is good as Xiaomi claims. I am so happy that I ordered a pair and they fit my daily usage scenarios perfectly.

As I have QCY Q29 Pro already, I'm in no rush to get these, maybe if they release an English version. Or as mentioned before Youth Edition, so maybe another model version maybe launched in the future.

Also as linked in thread already plenty of other 5.0 TWS Earbuds starting from €20. What have Airdots better to offer other than brand?

Bit off topic but can anyone tell me what i need

I have bluetooth wireless headphones (cheap ones bought a while back from this thread I think). I have a tv (not smart tv) - it has one usb port and the usual headphone slots.

How can I connect my bluetooth headphones to the tv? Is there some kind of adaptor I can get that I can connect to the TV to connect to my bluetooth?

Thanks for any replies and sorry if completely off topic.

In your case you would need a Bluetooth Sender/Transmitter

eg: - Bluetooth Transmitter, TaoTronics Portable Wireless Stereo Music Transmitter for 3.5mm Audio Devices, Paired with Bluetooth Receiver, TV Ears, Bluetooth Dongle, A2DP Stereo Music Transmission (Not A Bluetooth Receiver)

Expensive at £16.99, maybe cheaper available!

    The 10 Best Bluetooth Transmitters

Here is another sample if your headset supports aptx?

Wireless Adapter 2 In 1 Bluetooth Transmitter And Receiver APTX For Audio TV Stereo 4.1 3.5mm AUX Adapter For Smartphone PC
^^^ Not bad for approx €10 (incl delivery).

Probably the i7 or i7S (these) they often drop to €2.50 if you watch them. I think the average price is around €5.

When you use a bluetooth transmitter and try and watch TV, it doesn't really work. There's a tiny lag. It's not massive but it's enough that if you're watching someone speaking you can't help but see their lips aren't matching up with what you're hearing. I tried a few different transmitters and pairs of headphones and never got past that.

Something like these are a much much better option. Battery life is super long, range is very far, no lag, and less hassle than having to make sure both transmitter & headphones are charged.

I bought this for $18 about 3-4 weeks ago. It arrived on Tuesday and I've been trying it out.
So far I've only tried it out on my Senfer DT8's and I think it's pretty good.
The battery doesn't hold as long a charge as I'd like, but get about 4-5 hours playback (Charging is about 25-30 minutes full).

The resolution is slightly worse/less, and there is a small amount more bass but not much difference overall.
I have also the Tenmak Piano, but they are all the MMCX I have at the moment (I thought the KX ATR were MMCX, but they're not :o).

I haven't tried those with it yet but for $18 this is decent.

What’s the sound like? And how long does the battery last thank you

Finally got around to testing these. I got just under 2 hours battery life. Currently charging via the box now and have a 3 hour flight coming up so we will see how many charges I get out of it (at least 1 I hope!).

Had a look at them today, seem to have a bulkier charging case than the i7s. Only an hour and half play time mentioned on the box, so probably only about an hour.

Didn't have my i7s with me to compare and didn't want to be pulling the packaging apart to have a look at the buds.
