Hi everyone,
I was just having a browse through some wireless earphones as I need some for the gym. I had skull candy wired ones but I stepped on them and the cable broke. So after that I said I’d get a wireless pair. I found a fully wireless pair, no wires connected the earphones together. The reviews seem pretty good and so I ordered them but I’ll know in about 3 weeks time what they’re like. In your case you would need a Bluetooth Sender/Transmitter

Probably the i7 or i7S (these) they often drop to €2.50 if you watch them. I think the average price is around €5.

When you use a bluetooth transmitter and try and watch TV, it doesn't really work. There's a tiny lag. It's not massive but it's enough that if you're watching someone speaking you can't help but see their lips aren't matching up with what you're hearing. I tried a few different transmitters and pairs of headphones and never got past that.

Something like these are a much much better option. Battery life is super long, range is very far, no lag, and less hassle than having to make sure both transmitter & headphones are charged.

I bought this for $18 about 3-4 weeks ago. It arrived on Tuesday and I've been trying it out.
So far I've only tried it out on my Senfer DT8's and I think it's pretty good.
The battery doesn't hold as long a charge as I'd like, but get about 4-5 hours playback (Charging is about 25-30 minutes full).

The resolution is slightly worse/less, and there is a small amount more bass but not much difference overall.
I have also the Tenmak Piano, but they are all the MMCX I have at the moment (I thought the KX ATR were MMCX, but they're not

).

I haven't tried those with it yet but for $18 this is decent.

Finally got around to testing these. I got just under 2 hours battery life. Currently charging via the box now and have a 3 hour flight coming up so we will see how many charges I get out of it (at least 1 I hope!).

Had a look at them today, seem to have a bulkier charging case than the i7s. Only an hour and half play time mentioned on the box, so probably only about an hour.

Didn't have my i7s with me to compare and didn't want to be pulling the packaging apart to have a look at the buds.

Lads - just wondering if Bluetooth 5.0 now means you can use wireless bluetooth earphones to watch video on your tv without lip sync issues?

I currently don't have any wireless earphones but looking to get a pair to watch Netflix at night without disturbing anyone else.
My tv currently has no bluetooth connectivity (though getting a new one shortly which will) but I have an amazon Fire Tv stick 4k connected to it which has Bluetooth 5.0 built in.

My understanding is that bluetooth earphones when connected to tv to watch video generally always resulted in lip sync, so basically video is unwatchable in this scenario.
Just wondering if this is still the case now?

I know you can get non-bluetooth wireless ones for watching tv but ideally would like to get a bluetooth pair that I could also use on the phone during the day if needs be while out and about.

@gaillimh Bluetooth 5.0 is still being reported to have a smaller lag, compared to prior versions.

It depends on the quality of the hardware been used and if there is any interference from wifi etc.

Doing a bit more research it seems you need to look for ones with AptX Low Latency to avoid lag.
Have seen a few pairs but struggling to find ones that are also sweatproof etc.
Ideally would like to just have to buy a single pair that can be used for video as well as gym etc.
Not easy to find ones that cover all bases it seems

For AptX to work both headset and the Bluetooth transmitter would need to support that protocol.

Edit: - Don't know if your firestick supports that protocol?

They're only €21 more on amazon

€24 for the Ones is very good though. I'm very happy with mine pretty much just use them for music but just checked with a video there on my phone. There's a tiny bit of lag there but honestly it's barely noticeable you'd actually have to be watching out for it. I'm sensitive enough to it and find video hard to watch if it's out of sync.
