Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Centuries in each of the last 3 frames, shaping up nicely for tonight.

    5-4 to the Irishman.

First frame tonight - Robbo makes 40 odd, doing the 'donkey work' - potted 6 reds - went into bunch - good split but not great position - goes for a red to middle - misses - leaves Allen in - currently 44 apiece - 3 reds left - straightforward enough from here - rest out - gets the red - looking good.

2 reds left now - should really finish it from here - reds gone - pots pink - on colours - fantastic clearance. Misses unimportant black.

    Now 6-4.

Better than the poor televised Gaa fare :)

Could be deja vous all over again - good split, but no real position - fouls, going in off.

29 - 4 to Robbo. Allen misses red from baulk - the Aussie back in - gets some luck with that split.

A good chance here to reduce the deficit.

Allen is a man on mission in this tournament

Right, time for some snooker. Some day of sport to be fair. Kerry beaten. A chinese on the way. And an Irishman looking good to be the Champion of Champions. Sweet.

That long red couldn't have gone more in the middle of the pocket if he tried. Mark Allen is looking strong.

    7-5 to Allen.

The frequency of players playing on for snookers when the frame appears a lost cause seems higher than usual in this comp than previous ones.

Noticed it plenty this week anyway.

Do all the hard work to screw the yellow out. And then go and miss it.

Allen won't enjoy his cup of tea.

Crucial 13th frame there. The heavy scoring is great to watch but you can’t beat a few missed balls to create some drama. This could go right to the wire.

We all like big breaks but it would be nice to get a few tactical battles on the colours. They have been conspicuous by their absence.

    This is warming up nicely.

Allen looking to beat Robbo for the 6th time in last 7 meetings. He certainly has Robbo's number.

Robbo's effort at getting a snooker behind the black there was hopeless (1st effort). Selby would never be that far off.

This would be a nice trophy to go with his Masters title for Allen. For a long time i didn't think he had the game, temperament or the fitness to win the big trophies but the more i see of him the more i think he could win at Sheffield.

What a blunder from the Thunder. This could be the beginning of the end for Robbo. Allen is on the victory march.

Out of the top players I figured would never win at Sheffield I had Mark Allen, and Kyren Wilson. I've changed my mind some this week, but not on Wilson.

He's pretty much dominated Robbo this evening. Bullied him, almost. I'd like to see him have a good run at Sheffield. Get to the one table semi final set up. He's beaten Ronnie, Judd and Robbo to be crowned champion here. Hats off.

Pubs are shut and Mark wins a tournament. Hardly a coincidence you'd have to admit :)

Very impressive win, looked very confident all week. O’Sullivan, Trump, Robertson all comfortably beaten.

Very hard to argue against Allen being a deserving winner although it is a bit strange to have the champion be someone who hadn't actually won a tournament in the past year.

I find it funny seeing some of the BBC and Europsort commentary/Pundit teams working together :)
    Well done Mark
