Personality beats looks everyday. Personally I could never be with some ditzy scatterbrained Love Island type of girl, even though aesthetically they may look incredible, as soon as they start talking it's Game Over.
Someone with depth and substance, that's what I like.

My opinion of how someone looks shifts with my view of their personality. People can start to look ugly to me when they reveal bad character traits and vice versa. For that reason, I've never had a 'type'.

You'll do fine, he knows you and has matched with you so clearly he likes what he sees and finds your personality appealing. At 40 he's probably not looking to waste time on anyone he's not serious about. Best of luck.

Do you seriously want to invite the weirdos and misfits (myself included!) of boards into your life?!
    You're hardly that bored??

    Yea sure :D:D

I have to concur. While devilishly attractive I'm a total weirdo.

What I find weird is that people who are online themselves label others who are online as weird. Everyone is online these days, even the person you meet in person instead of online, is in fact online too, you just didn't meet that way.
You'd be hard pressed to meet someone these days who when asked about the Internet/ World Wide Web to respond '' eh what's that '' ..... Me I'd find that person to be the weird one :)

Seeing as we’re talking about it I might as well give ye an update.

I have a post-lockdown date set up with a STUD. I knew him over ten years ago and just matched him on Bumble recently.

He’s genuinely very good looking and I’m a very normal, average looking girl (that’s the most honest appraisal I can give, I’m not trying to be harsh on myself here, there’s nothing *wrong* with me lookswise but no one is looking at me going “she’s gorgeous”)

Aside from that he obviously pays an awful lot of attention to his hair/ clothes etc.. more than an average guy I would say. I’m very much a jeans-and-a-hoodie kinda girl day to day though I’d obviously make an effort for a date.

    Is this doomed?

Sounds like he's going to get what he wants first time out anyway:p

I’d love to but I suppose I have to play the game for two or three dates or he’ll lose interest.

I used to think that was all a load of bollocks but nowadays I think there’s some truth to it.

Best make sure you're not matching then:P
No, but I have a theory that if your bra and knickers match by chance it is your duty to get laid that day.
