Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Am I allowed to ask for recommendations for phone unlocking services??

I assume for P30. Search P30 Lite Vodafone Ireland Unlock Code on Ebay, there are only two sellers. One is couple of euros cheaper but wait time of 20-25 days.

Other is bit more with wait time of 6 days.

Got an a20e from vodafone during the week. Had to buy an Eir SIM to change over, and was told I had to buy 10euro credit to get the free SIM. None of us use Eir so I have 10euro of credit going to first person to send PM

    Gone

I got a 48months sim delivered on Fri as Eir didn't send one despite multiple orders and confirmation mails to say it will be dispatched.

Was surprised you had to activate the 48months sim and that the number wasn't on the card so did that last night and requested a new number but still haven't got that. Any idea how long that takes as the email and their website just said "some time" but wasn't expecting it to be more than a few mins.

Very good price! Trying to find a thread on it but doesn't seem to be anything so apologies if there is. Does anyone know if you can do this at a 3 store or is it online only? Also, is it likely to be locked to 3 network?

What does VF €25 cashback mean ?

Is that separate to the 50/100 off?

The €25 cashback is for a SIM only port. Checked this in store.

And Vodafone cut price of A40 trying to match three.

Now it is 99 euros when you switch.

I'm gonna see a lot of those phones on adverts shortly.

    Tom

I refreshed page and it is gone !
Back to 149 when switching !

    sorry for misleading

At the price, would have thought the A40 was a better phone.
A40 has more ram, better camera and 64GB memory (although both
    upgradable).

Anyone able to help me understand phone unlocking a bit.
I got a network code and a defreeze code from ebay seller.

Unlock code didn't work first time.
I'm nervous to try it again in case I disable the phone entirely.

Seller is saying to enter the codes multiple times and it will eventually work..
    LIke:

    1) enter 41963906
    2) tap unlock
    3) enter 49525720
    4) tap unlock
    5) repeat step 3 and 4, for 10-15 times.

But would this not be very risky?

That doesnt sound right. Is this for Samsung A20e, if so it should only have one code which unlocks both sims slots. You only enter code once and it works if its correct.

    Hi Dan,
yah, it's for the A20e. From that guy on ebay that you used.

He is telling me I've nothing to worry about.. just keep banging in the unlock code and then the defreeze code after it, again and again.. until the phone unlocks.

I asked if there was not a danger of bricking the phone and he said shur you have the defreeze code..

Problem is.. if the unlock code isn't right.. how do I know the defreeze code will work...

Not sure what to do now...

I got mine from him today and it worked first time. I got a network unlock pin and a network unlock puk. I was prompted for the pin and it was instantaneous. Did you get a pin and a puk?

Thinking of ordering an iPhone 8 payg - is there anything to stop me switching my number to Vodafone and then a month or so later switching it to another provider, will the phone remain locked to vf?

    Thanks

    Hiya,
    I got the following:
    IMEI : 35xxxxxxxxxxx
    Unlock code : Network: 49525720, Defreeze: 41963906

NCK / NETWORK = Network code
MCK / DEFREEZE = PUK code

And when I put the Network one in, it didn't work.
So I'm just uncomfortable going further and trying to do what he told me to do with the 10 to 15 times bit..

Ordered a Samsung A40 off three.ie for €89.99 (plus €10 top up) having given up on Vodafone customer service coming back to me about my cancelled order.
Not only was it €50 cheaper, came in 2 days.
Vodafone customer service said they ring me back and that was nearly 2 weeks ago!

Nearly got caught out with the 3 pin plug which looked very strange till I figured it needed to be expanded to fit :o.

Just noticed the P30 Lite discount has gone from €100 down to €50 .... and the base price has gone up from €199 to €249.99 .... so their updated offer is to get the phone for the same price as it was before!

When you insert a non vf sim, what message do you get? To insert the network unlock code?

Yah, when yeh put non-vf SIM in and turn phone on, get a black screen showing:

"SIM Network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK."

So .. is that the defreeze code or the network code that he gave me?
    Confused by the terminology now..

I dunno.. maybe this complicated by the fact that we're trying this using a non-vf SIM in another country. (ie: not Ireland).

Basically I got the phone and sent it to family over in mainland europe.
So I'm trying to unlock it over WhatsApp with my sis.

Thought it would be as easy as get the code and pass that on to her.. but apparently not... sigh..

Your sim is the issue. You need to get a working sim. The pin of the sim was entered wrong and is blocked and you need puk code that comes with the sim.

Once the sim works then it will ask you for unlock code.

No. The terminology is confusing but the SIM network PIN and SIM network PUK have nothing to do with the specific SIM card's PIN and PUK.

The SIM network PIN is the network unlock code and the SIM network PUK is the defreeze code.
