I'm ad libbing here but the story goes that he basically wanted to turn up and win the X Division Title, go missing, and then never drop it to someone and instead lose it in a screwy way. Impact told him to **** off and he ended up going back home before even he even left the airport.

    From Sammy

"It’s business at the end of the day. What was presented, I didn’t see it working for me. I still wish nothing but the best for IMPACT and everybody there. I didn’t put no information out online and I know there’s only a certain amount of people that knew certain information, so the information that was put out online is only coming from one side. I wish we could have kept it more close-knit instead of having to make it everybody’s business, because I feel like it wasn’t necessary for everybody to know any of this stuff. So that’s why I started trolling on the vlog, and certain things are coming out where I’m like, ‘Yo, this is not true at all’. So, don’t believe everything you read online. But hey man, it is what it is. We all could have handled things better, but that’s life in general man. You live, you learn, you grow and you go."

So dont always believe what you read on the internet as we just dont know

That's weak imo. Doesn't actually say anything or even deny it. Will he be eligible for a Hulk Hogan Çunt of the Year golden nogger nomination next year?

Yes it reads as someone having no real comeback so makes a comment that sounds like the moral high ground.

Hey what is Bryan Daniels doing in the Impact/Dynamite zone

Have to say his wwe return from injury was mixed at best . The heel tree hugger gimmick was great but some of the baby face stuff was meh

    Would just be Bryan Danielson.

I'd say he'll take touring into account. As it stands he gets to see his family but if he had to start doing house shows again he mightn't like it.
Though he could just negotiate that

The American Dragon is money now he can write his own ticket wherever he wants.

The Bella's are so well bedded into The USA Network now that the WWE probably needs them more than they need the WWE to make content for the The USA Network so they will be alright.

If Bryan wants to wrestle part time and wrestle the best talent in the world I'm sure he could do a great free lancer gimmick traveling the world popping in and out of promotions taking on there best and putting on some great matches.

Bryan never came across as a guy worried about win lose records he seems a artist who just wants to have the best matches it doesn't matter who wins or lose them.

Bryan heading to AEW would probably flip me into watching Dynamite weekly.

I'm *almost* there myself but given the channel it's aired on regularly here ain't on Sky so can't be recorded I haven't done it. ITV of all the frickin channels, even Channel 4 would be grand like

Considering VPNing to view ITV hub though

I watch through my prepaid phone credit on Three.

I never use my credit, so I never notice it go.

I sign up to Fite TV in the play store on my mobile and its 5 quid a month well spent that I dont notice going.

Lord, Necro..... do yourself a favour, if your a WWE fan who is sick of WWE, watch this.

Its not perfect, its flawwed, but its so much better to watch.

Think the new episodes appear at 7pm on a Thursday on the Itv hub from a brief google. Checked and they already have the prior four weeks up so will give it a whirl this eve

Do. I recommend giving it 4 episodes of Dynamite to settle in.

Honestly, long term, its fantastic..... the attention to detail, the absence of dumbing things down.... the meaningful matches.

    You wont be unhappy.

Also Dynamite is a breeze to watch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,570 ✭✭✭savemejebus

Dynamite is too geared towards the "smarks" to be a weekly or easy watch for me. It's all too nudge nudge wink wink, we know that you know that we know, 'lets use insider terms and be meta. Guys specifically talking about promos, factions, marks etc. just makes me wonder what's the point? If I want backstage terms I'll read the observer.

There are flashes of greatness but it's let down by aiming itself at people that are already fans instead of a wider audience.

Presentation wise they're going for old school WCW and I'm just waiting to read about that stupid ramp/stage 'rick ruding' some poor fecker.

Booking, which gets praised alot is odd. Look at Miro, is he a monster or a metrosexual video gamer with a thing for stupid weddings? Tonight's blood and guts match is coming way too soon. What has been the point of Sting being hung around Darby Allin's neck like an over the hill albatross?

The inconsistent selling, finishers as transition moves and the way we are simply supposed to buy people of drastically unequal size having equal strength puts it moving into the realm of combat gymnastics more than pro wrestling.....not an easy watch some of the time.

I know this goes against the main view of the forum but at this point it's on the road to being as bad as WWE but for the smark market.

Young Bucks are about 80% of my problem with AEW. They are the drizzling shíts of wrestling. They don't have enough talent to actually act so, as you said, they are full of nudge nudge wink wink stuff. They take the low-hanging fruit of pulling back the curtain a little to impress their easily impressed fans.

What's worse is they attach them and their "comedy" to people who could actually be cool like Omega.

Don't get me started on AJ's fluffers being paired with him too. If the Young Bucks are the drizzling shíts of wrestling, Gallows and Anderson are the festering pustules of wrestling. Just the absolute worst.

Miro despite everything is still undeafeated and he just murdered Kip Sabian last week , I know it was gonna happen , I think they've done a decent job with him so far , they couldn't just throw him straight into the title picture

I disagree that theyve done a good job, they have done a bad job.

However, their botched job isnt beyond recovery and last week was a start.

The didnt have to throw him into the title picture, but they didnt have to throw him into a feud with the best friends and pair him with Kip either.

I feel the Miro recovery started at Arcade Anarchy (really enjoyed this too) he was booked super strong during this match and took the 3 best friends to actually put down Miro

I’ve pretty much fallen off watching any wrestling in a regular schedule.

I used to watch raw and Smackdown. When AEW debuted, I didn’t have the interest in adding a new weekly show. When I fell off Raw.
And Smackdown, I didn’t have the motivation to replace it.

Everything I see from dynamite impresses me, but WWE has just burned me out so much :o

Never has such a bad take been doubled and tripled down on as much as this one.

BTW the nudge nudge stuff isn't what's made people fans of theirs. If you've been paying attention they've been probably in the top 3 tag teams on the planet since like 2009 and the easy outright best since around 2012/2013. That they wind up a certain kind of fan really is just a bonus.

It's hilarious reading and listening to people slating both the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega!

Agree 1000% with everything you said there!

Seems to be alot of pro WWE marks who seem to be always slating them to be fair!

Even by wrestling standards this story is mad.

THE STRANGE SAGA OF LAUREN BOEBERT’S PRO WRESTLER PATERNITY CASE

The gun-toting Colorado congresswoman rarely mentions her father, but in a trail of YouTube comments, she and her mother have singled out one man: 1980s journeyman tag-team specialist ‘Sweet’ Stan Lane...
“Maybe you need to talk to your hubby a little more about this,” began the YouTube comment from approximately 2008. “[H]e is the one that told my mom she was pregnant, and he is the one [who] called the house, after it was verified by the [doctor], begging my mother to abort me!”

Though the account being used belonged to a woman named Shawna Bentz, the references to “my mom” and “begging my mother to abort me” suggest that it was actually written by her daughter, Lauren Boebert, then in her early 20s. (Though court records and social media accounts alternatingly refer to Bentz as “Shawn” and “Shawna,” we’re sticking with “Shawna” for the purposes of this article because it’s the name she uses on her active Twitter account.) The other half of the discussion has been deleted from YouTube, but the numerous comments from Bentz’s account give enough context that the topic of the conversation can come into focus. It appears that Bentz (and seemingly Boebert) were arguing with a woman named Maria Lane about whether her husband, retired wrestler “Sweet” Stan Lane, real name Wallace Stanfield Lane, was the biological father of the future congresswoman for Colorado’s third district and had fabricated a negative paternity test.........

Yeah that’s a few months old and Jim cornette was asked about it. Also journey man ? However wrote this needs to put some respect on his name. Stan lane was not a journey man.

Will Ospreay vs Shingo Takagi the 8th match to get ****** from Dave Meltzer in history. For me, it's the current match of the year and well deserved, an absolutely magic pro wrestling match.

Why cant he just have it at 5 stars and reduce his ratings in other matches.

Because that would be using logic beaker and we can’t be doing that with metlzer. He tried to compare his rating scale(which he didn’t create) to the Richter scale. I’ve stopped reading them but unfortunately some wrestlers seem to tailor their matches to trying to get a rating from meltzer.

Dave Meltzer might be the best worker in wrestling over the last decade the way he winds fans up he is defiantly better than 99% of pro wrestlers anyway.

I mean sure but tbh I don't mind it and I get his logic behind it. Whether everyone agrees with that logic is up to them. Personally I just rate on a 5 star scale. Will Ospreay vs Shingo was probably in the best 15 or 20 Pro wrestling matches I've ever seen and, whether the Meltzer scale works for people or not, it's an absolute must watch.

    WWE Evil

WWE Evil is described as a “psychological exposé” into the minds of the most diabolical antagonists in WWE history and their impact on mainstream culture. Wrestler-actor Cena is writing the project and also will narrate and exec produce.

    From Fightful...
Zelina Vega, also known as Thea Trinidad was at the WWE Performance Center on Thursday, May 13. We were told it wasn't just a visit, as she was being filmed for some reason there. Zelina left WWE in November when she was fired for not following third party policies. Her husband Aleister Black also hasn't wrestled since her firing, and only recently saw vignettes air for his return after Fightful had reports that he had not been backstage at Smackdown for quite a while. We're working to learn the context of Zelina's appearance at the WWE PC, but have been told the working plan is for her to return to the company.

Maybe Twitch and Onlyfans wasn't as lucrative as first thought.

Would certainly be interesting to see her paired up with Black but I don't really want to see an Alexa mark 2 type character. One is bad enough.

Zelina when she eventually comes back, after all the fuss she caused in not going along with the company's third party policies that led to her original release.

Can't say I've watched her streams but I get a distinct Babestation-lite vibe from this...

    kaqpib1yszy61.jpg

I can see why she'd want back in. I'd rather read shítty WWE scripts once a week and work with my friends/husband than dress up for tips for horny people on Twitch.

So then what was the point of kicking up the **** show for herself last November by tweeting she was in favour of Unionization? Why not just have kept her mouth shut and gone along with it?

Only then to U-turn 7 months later.
