Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Me it's not much. He was never a good singer because if he was he would have had a few solo hits. He looks rough with horrible tattoos all over. Now he is trying to say he knows all about cars and is working for Scrapyard Supercar challenge. What does he bring in today but a Land Rover Discovery 5 lol. Ye ok it's a good car but nothing special. Its not a supercar do and you would want to go exploring the Australian outback or any desert for that matter in as you would more than likely end up stranded when it breaks down. Besides anything it can do a Suzuki Jimny can do, so can a Fiat Panda 4×4 but a Toyota Landcruiser can do it better so can it's own sibling the Defender. He had a Bentley Brnteyaga on the first episode and some Lamborghini on the 2nd episode.
Anyway I think he is an idiot who has no clue what he is at himself. He even wears a cap in the cars and the wrong way around too. It looks utterly stupid and is just wrong.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

His dad's a mechanic, lad's probably been around cars since before he could see over the dashboard.

He's travelled the world, made his money and seems happy these days.

    Fair ****s to him.

I didn't think anything of him, read the reasons for the dislike of him, and still struggle to see what's notable about him. What I know of him he's a decent guy. Meh.

A man like him taking himself too seriously like on the late late there in the last while is embarrassing imo. Own it like, he hasn't a note in his head and stole a living, least he could do is laugh at it.

I think he married the lead singer from Eternal who was fairly hot. Don't know much about him apart from that and being in Boyzone

Seems to me whatever your opinion is of the man, he'd tell ya to shove your opinion up yer f**king hole, so fair play to him.

Very successful in the entertainment industry.

Not so successful as a petrol head but seems to enjoy himself.

    What's not to like?

I met him in the POD year's ago and he seems sound enough.

Usually people mature with age so, I'd say he's still grand.

Didnt he tell Ryan Tubridy to go F*ck himself?

He went up in my estimation after that...

Ryan Tubridy thought he could have another played out laugh at Boyzone's expense. It was enjoyable watching Shane tell him where to go.

In fairness I'd have him before Keating.

A lost opportunity. In the wake of Robbie Williams split he could have been marketed as bad boy gone renegade; solo career. Ireland’s answer to vanilla ice I’m surprised Looey didn’t spot that one

I though he was dead right when he told Ryan Turbidy enough is enough with the ancient clip of Boyzone's first outing so as to ridicule the members over and over again.

This! I knew his family growing up and he was always around cars. He knows a hell of a lot about them to answer the OP.

I like him. He seems affable enough on any tv shows I've seen him on. He did well on masterchef a few years ago, himself and Brian Capron (Richard Hillman, murdery lad off corrie) were great.

That single he released with Keith Duffy, a mash-up of Belouis Some and Milli Vinalli was hilarious too. ;)

I don't like boy bands music much, but plenty do. He's still getting offers of tv work, and would be insane not to go for it. I doubt he's made much from Boyzone tbh.

    Fcuk the bedgrudgers.

I have no issue with the guy. He makes a living and the lack of negative stories would suggest a decent neighbor / father / etc

Yeah it’s not on I think it was Shaun Ryder who said it best; grafters. Takes a lot of dedication to get where they did in that field, you really have to sell yourself put your body & soul into it. Very physically demanding it’s not really fair to keep digging up their rentboy past

He was literally a few laps from winning the 2003 British GT Championship until taken out by a spinning back marker, causing him to lose the championship.

He's also had success in the British Drift Championship.

I'd probably listen to his advice over the op based on this alone if I'm honest, can never understand those who say he knows nothing about cars, if he was more committed to it he could've made a name in Europe or internationally.

Other than this, he's been pretty approachable and generally likable over the years, and done well and got a good reception in Celeb BB IIRC.

Fair play, made some money, is enjoying life and doesn't seem to be around rubbing it in peoples faces can't begrudge him.

A Mercedes X Class. Since when did that become a Supercar? It's basically a Nissan Navara with different badges and grill. It lost anyway so nope not a Supercar. Shane seems to have copped that caps are ment to go on with the peak at the front so less annoying there. Actually he has gotten less annoying as the show goes on. He won today again with his Porsche Carrera.
