Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I never played rugby but people told me I'd be a decent hooker.

I'm concerned the conversation veered off point at that stage though :pac:

I played as hooker, not a position I would recommend, shoulders and back take a beating :)

    What’s wrong
I asked if you played rugby and you reckon a fullback is called a #15 and that you played #15
    Sulli was ahooker
Hooker would wear #2 sonby your rational hookers are called #2

    What am I missing

Yeah you are right; so i definitely called you out and said 'lol full back is so made up, it's deffo called 15.'

I presume you asked me where I played in the first place so that you own opinions are more important because you have played rugby and wanted to see if it had too?

I said 15. That's the Jersey number I wore. I didn't mention a position because I didn't mention a position. And I didn't explain further because frankly I don't want to talk to you much.

Why are you spoiling for a fight Tigger?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,263 ✭✭✭robyntmorton

I played a bit of hooker and wing in school, or #2 and #11 if you’re that way inclined.

    Was never great though.

I have no idea what you are saying
Donyoubwantvt Ban me for saying no one in the history of rugby union has called a full back a #15

I’ll stopnposting in my thread so will I ?

    I don't believe that's what I did. That's what I'm saying.

What I'm also saying is that I'm finding your posts very antagonistic, and I don't understand where that antagonism is coming from, but it feels familiar, as that was how you posted before your ban.

Correcting my spelling on my most recent post in this thread to avoid discussing my asking why you are being antagonistic, from my second last post in this thread.

Normally this is the part where a mod asks you both to maybe back off and cool down before this escalates past the point of reasonableness but since one of you *is* the mod...uh.... Bust a deal, face the wheel?

I played AIL1, in the women’s game in Ireland, a level below international. I would regularly come up against Irish international forward rows to play. It was very hard on the neck but loved playing.

I took it up when I was 18 and played for 11 years. Gave it up when I dislocated my shoulder (not when playing). My surgeon said I could play again but I was scared.

Side note. A good friend of mine had the same surgery a few weeks before me and she played for Ireland yesterday!

One regret in my youth was giving up GAA at under 14. Now I wasn't a world beater or anything but my age group went on to win minor and under 21 championships as well as an Intermediate County Championship.

Fell away from sport for about ten years from 14 to 24 but then came back and follow my local club to the ends of the earth now. Had a 4 year stint as secretary and helped out with a couple of underage teams but have pulled back a bit now until the kiddies are old enough to play.

Also the new job curtails my involvement in coaching quite a bit.

Im the same gave up all sport in my early 20s for partying sigh

took up golf last year though which is something you can pretty much play all your life and with the handicap system you will always be someway
    competitive.

highly highly addictive and as equally frustrating game when you get into it though

That's a story line from the movie Frozen I think. That's been played by the little ones so many time I've picked that up by osmosis.
