Ocon isnt in the seat because Merc wanted Russell racing in F1 instead and didnt want to buy both seats. Iirc they are getting Russel's engines for free/discount so only pay for Kubicas

Ocon could have gone to Toro Rosso if Mercedes released him. If Papa Stroll didnt want to waste a seat on his son Ocon could have stayed in the Force India.

Blaming Kubica is hilarious. Anywaya onto Silverstone thread anyways :P

Lets hope its as good as Austria!

I'd say Mercedes rate Russell higher than Ocon and that's why they put him in the Williams seat.
