Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Tom Jones FTW! :D

I would have preferred if he did a duet after midnight, but you can't always get what you want as the other lads said earlier.

BBC2 have commissioned Charlie Brooker's Antiviral Wipe, which is splendid news

    https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2020-04-22/charlie-brooker-wipe-return/

It’s been over three years since Charlie Brooker last put the world to rights with his Wipe series, but now he’s returning for a one-off special on the coronavirus pandemic.

Charlie Brooker’s Antiviral Wipe (working title) is a half-hour one-off special coming soon to BBC Two that’ll see its host take a wry look at COVID-19 news coverage as well as the many and various ways the public are keeping themselves occupied during lockdown.

Some other new programmes also listed in that link

It gives me no small amount of joy that RTE is all news & Covid Prime Time and TV3 is all Matt Cooper & Covid, but good ol TG4 is, as ever, all Opry le Daniel.

One day I will watch that show properly.

It is also shown on BBC Alba on Friday at 9pm, this weeks guests are the Three Amigos, apparently.

"Failte go Stiofain Máirtín, Máirtín Gearr agus Chevy Chase, beidh siad ag canadh mo buttercup beag anocht ..."

    possibly dubbed into Scottish

Channel 4 have commissioned Snoop Dogs, a show where Gopro cameras are put on dogs who roam around their owners houses and the public has to guess who lives there.

Monkey Tennis cannot be far away

Chevy ag rith tar éis rud éigin was my favourite.

Ah, flip, I might just watch that.

The Three Amigos contains the greatest conversation in the history of film.

Forgive me, it seems long, but...

"Jefe : I have put many beautiful pinatas in the storeroom, each of them filled with little suprises.

    El Guapo : Many pinatas?

    Jefe : Oh yes, many!

El Guapo : Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?

    Jefe : A what?

    El Guapo : A *plethora*.

Jefe : Oh yes, you have a plethora.

El Guapo : Jefe, what is a plethora?

    Jefe : Why, El Guapo?

El Guapo : Well, you told me I have a plethora. And I just would like to know if you know what a plethora is. I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has *no idea* what it means to have a plethora.

Jefe : Forgive me, El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education. But could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on me?"

Has anyone ever used cameo.com? You can buy video messages from actors on it. My most notable purchase was from Melissa Joan Harte when she quartered her price. It is mostly used for birthday shout outs for people's friends but I don't have friends. I just ask the actors a particular question about their career, you get a longer video that way anyway.

It's no wonder we are having COVID-19 visited on us with this pornography, we're sinking into a cesspit of filth. It's on our knees saying the rosary (sorrowful mysteries of course) we should be.

Not a fan Hugh Grant but he is excellent as Jeremy Thorpe in that, worth watching.

Decent-looking Peter Sellers documentary on BBC Two tomorrow night at 9pm...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000j4c1

Followed by ‘Peter Sellers: Talking Comedy’ at 10.20pm - a collection of some of his talk-show appearances.

    Oh, go on then... :)

Anyhoo, Peter Sellers time on BBC Two :)

Watching this, Peter seemed to propose to every actress he worked with

Sinead Cusack gives the impression that she wasn't very into him, though.

It got a lot of flak, but ‘The Fiendish Plot Of Dr. Fu Manchu’ still has some great moments...

Fu Manchu: Nayland Smith again. That is very good news...

Servant: Why is it good news, master?

Fu Manchu: Because I'm in no condition to receive bad news. I shall fine you each 1000 yen.

Servant: But you don't pay us, master.

Fu Manchu: Then I shall start paying you in order to fine you!
