Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i left a post for you on the other forum but..
(1) click youtube button
(2) copy only the end of the code in your you tube address bar*** the numbers and letters code listed after the = sign
so it is
this particular video was more complicated because it had another = code after the first = code.
Just use the first code after the first = pyj2qL-bQ4E
Dont use the bit after the second = &feature=youtu.be
* often there isnt a second =0 -

So, anything wrapped in those quote things (and dont forget that the ending one has a / at the start), shows as a quote.
This works for lots of things like, images, youtubes etc.

ps: For the advanced users struggling to help here, there is a very nifty tag called [noparse] [/noparse] which will stop Boards from parsing the code and displaying it rendered, and instead spits it out as raw text. Neat huh!0 -

Now if you want to embed quotes you simply put them inside each other, so:

[/noparse]this is the first quoted linethis is the reply
produces this:this is the first quoted linethis is the reply
Note that the first set of tags completely envelops the second. The second quote is completely embedded in the first.
You can wrap quote tags around something quickly by selecting the text and then pressing this button:
(its across the top of the editor).

Some forums have image embedding turned off so that the usual clowns can post goatse or tubgirl to shock unsuspecting readers. Do NOT google those images unless you want to lose your lunch, horrendous doesnt begin to describe them.I dont think After Hours has the images icon in its chat section only in the sub forum at the top of its menu
Hence it is altered to a link on some forums. Here, we allow direct embedding because we presume you all know better

When you hover over a link, a little popup sort of thing should appear down at the bottom of your screen, bottom left if using Firefox, it'll tell you where a link will take you.

In your Control Panel in Edit Options, scroll down to Thread Display Options, tick that "Show Avatars" box.I Cant see anyones avitars..wheres um gone?
I ticked the box in the box ticking place.

It's a windows OS but not sure what version yet. (Forgot to say that it's not my laptop). I'm texting the owner to find out what he's using.
Grand so.
If it's XP:
Ask them to try booting in safe mode.
(Turn on the computer, hit F8 before the Windows boot thing appears, Choose "Boot in safe mode")
It'll look a bit weird, but that's ok. Safe mode is your regular computer but with various tech stuff turned off. For safety!
With any luck, you'll see an account called "Administrator"
Head into that account and change the passwords for any user you please!
If it's not XP, they might need to use a password reset program. Or reinstall the entire system, deleting all data on the computer.
Windows makes things kinda secure.
Edit: If the user can get into the admin account, by default there is no password on it. Using the admin account they can reset all passwords.0 -
