Haven't seen the new seasons yet. *blames luke cage* :)

    but..

I didn't get any impression from the TV show that worlds were gonna merge.

    They left me with:
    multiple earths
    - there's earth 1, earth 2 and earth supergirl
    - you can move between the different earths
    timetravel
    - there's timetravel
    - you can travel backward and forward in time
    - you can change the events in the past and they affect the future
interaction between multiple earths and time travel
    - you can move between the different earths regardless of what time it is, you'll still be at that same point in time
    - you can travel backward and forward in time regardless of which earth you are on, you'll still be on that same earth

3 out of 4 premieres in the bag and all were very impressive - instills me with confidence for the Legends of Tomorrow season 2 premiere on Thursday.

So great to see Tom Felton join the cast of The Flash.

I did lol when Doctor Alchemy was introduced as the Big Bad for the season.....
Philosopher's Stone & former Potter cast member
surely gives away who plays him.:D

An enjoyable first full week of DC shows on the CW.

So far this season Arrow, Supergirl and Legends have stepped up their games big time, to the point where I personally think The Flash has been the weakest of the four. The Flash is still great though, so that's really a testament to the other three.

I gave up on supergirl about 1/3-1/2 way through the first season, but watch the other 3 as soon as they come out.

    Is supergirl worth another stab?

I wouldn't give it another shot but this whole crossover bit is making me second guess myself as I didn't watch arrow until the legends of tomorrow crossover and then I went back to the start and watched all of Arrow.

Supergirl really only finds it feet in the latter half of season 1, and season 2 is somewhat of a soft reboot because of the move to the CW... You could probably get away with just watching the final 5 episodes of Season 1 (16-20) and then go straight into Season 2, but there's some good stuff mid-season 1 as well. Season 2 has been superb so far, so definitely get back to it at some point, if you enjoy the other 3 shows.

I really enjoyed Legends this week and have to say surprisingly Legends is my favorite of the shows this season.

    Any ideas what
    2056 Barry Allen's message
    to Rip was?

I started off as a Flash fan but it was born out of randomly seeing his intro in Arrow. Manu Bennett also made the season but by christ Katie Cassidy nearly necked me with her god awful acting.

I seen people moan about her before but by christ, I was not prepared for Laurel Lance and her ****ness.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,767 ✭✭✭Ben Gadot

Actually, **** this, the much praised season 2 of Arrow is purely because of Manu Bennett in my opinion. He wouldn't have been out of place opposite Affleck as Deathstroke.

People don't say this but it's largely true.

Without manu bennett being such a great deathstroke i dont know how the show would have survived. he was that good for me.

Hated how he was dealt with in his return.

Katana's story was better than Deathstrokes

I only watch Supergirl and Flash, no way am I going to start watching Arrow and LoT. The crossover should be able to cater for those of us who don't watch all 4.

Arrow 100th synopsis, spoiler tagged for those who wish too avoid.
Oliver wakes up to a life where he never got on The Queen’s Gambit. Robert and Moira Queen are alive and well. Laurel is his loving fiancée and their wedding is imminent. Everything seems perfect, but Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality. Meanwhile, Felicity and the recruits take on a new threat with help from The Flash and Supergirl

Interesting to see cast members from Lost turning up in Legends and Supergirl. Maybe there was a convention in town :)

    Hrmmm...
Just gooogled, there was a convention and some arrowverse people were there but no one I recognise from lost.

Do actors make much money out of going to Con's?

Other than the ones there under contract to promote the film or show.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

Seeing you ask, my guy reaction is that it probably depends on the convention.

After a google, I think they probably range from low-pay amateur-run conventions to high-pay corporate-sponsored conventions.

This article here references some conventions (the corporate-sponsored I think) paying from 5k up to 100s of thousands:
    http://screenrant.com/celebrity-fan-conventions-charge-fees/

This anime forum ranges between free to $150 (to cover incidentals like food etc):
    http://forums.animecons.com/showtopic.php?tid/581/

Only skimmed those two articles though.

Some nice money to be made there alright.

On a different note my favorite DC show at the moment if Lucifer I'm wondering how could/would they work him into this world if FOX were up for it.

    Constantine to Sandman to Lucifer

Here's a great article on it. The likes of Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead can bag half a million $$ per weekend.

Then they would also get the money from autographs/photos.

So this week's Legends was the first to tease the crossover.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,886 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

SO will everyone watch the 4 way crossover daily or wait till the end of the week and watch them back to back?

    I still have decided myself.

I'm going to watch daily. It's only a day to wait in between. Be different if it was a 4 week event.

How are Sky doing it since I know they started the 4 series at different times so I think they're out of sync. Are they going to take a break in some until all 4 are in sync?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

i think daily gives me something to look forward to each day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,058 ✭✭✭crazyderk

Supergirl is the only show of the 4 I dont watch. I guess I'll download it and watch to see what happens but I think I may be mighty confused!

  • Registered Users Posts: 130 ✭✭spartacus815

The final few minutes of supergirl will begin the crossover. For the most part of the episode, she will be battling her villain of the week.

Might wait until the weekend, one sure way of keeping me honest on a Friday/Saturday at least. :pac:

I'll be watching them daily for sure - ridiculously excited about this crossover.

It helps that I've pretty much just finished all of my work deadlines, after a pretty full on three weeks, so this crossover is coming at just the right time as well.

Supergirl only has the last two minutes of the episode dedicated to the crossover. There is two times during the episode where something connected to The Flash occurs but you can easily avoid it. Also don't watch the promo for tonight's Flash episode as there are some big episode spoilers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,503 ✭✭✭✭Also Starring LeVar Burton

Well, that was class. A lot happening and just phenomenally epic to have all of the heroes on screen together. Diggle and Mick obviously having some of the best lines in that episode, but some nice moments in there for pretty much everyone.

Really psyched for tomorrow, which is also the 100th episode of Arrow, and heard a bit about the flashback aspect of the episode which sounds brilliant...
Apparently we'll be seeing an alternate reality in which the Queen's Gambit was never shipwrecked or something like that, and some former cast members will be returning for that

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

Having difficulties sleeping so am gonna watch this, also if anyone follows DC Comics on Instagram, Danielle Panabaker was running the account today and they did the table read for 3x14 and she captioned the photo with
Just finished our table read for episode 314 of @cwtheflash! Buckle up. It's a good one

Does H.R not know Liam Neason has a particular set of talents. Yes he will find you yes he will torture you and yes he will make you watch all his movies and then kill you

Plus when Supergirl asked Heatwave how he got his name was funny. Does he eat more then Barry

The DC movie guys could learn a lot from that episode of The Flash and how to do action and a team up.
