You couldnt make this up...how could anyone come up with this as a problem..We are getting too soft in this country....Or do youngsters these days really love their craft ales and are just waiting on one targeted to them?

An Irish brewery has defended itself against accusations it is cashing in on the 1916 Easter Rising amidst complaints its new beer is targeted at minors because of its name.

Bray-based Wicklow Wolf Brewing Company unveiled its latest brew 'Children of the Revolution' earlier this month ahead of the 1916 centenary, and said, at the time, it was a celebration of the “countrymen and women who made possible the Ireland we live in today.”

However there has been several complaints on Irish social media saying that the label 'Children of the Revolution' is inappropriate because "children will think it is for them".
Speaking to the Independent.ie, co-founder Quincey Fennelly said that the €3.95 beer’s title was “a play on the old song by T-Rex” and that it was in no way intended to attract minors to the product.

It's not that we're getting too soft as a country. It's more that the Indo has really low standards when deciding what is a real story these days.

At €3.95 a bottle I doubt too many kids will be buying it. The Dutch Gold and various cheap Polish beers in Aldi will be more tasty affordable.

Just caught some morons on Joe Duffy complaining about it too. They had absolutley no inkling of what the phrase actually means and assumed because the word children is in the phrase it's aimed at children. Even when it was explained to them they didn't have the capacity to understand it.
