Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Update from XCWeather:
    Bouy M2 3c/-3c
    Valley 3c/-4c
    IOM 3c/-5c
    Aberporth Bouy 3c/-2c

    Good stats from M2 Bouy!

Just to highlight, I'm only expecting rain with a bit of sleet maybe - anything more will be a bonus.

Yea its all to do with that land wind, there isnt any REAL maritime component to it, just a strong dry wind off Britain.

Yes the precip does look on the latest loop that it could hit Dublin around 3/4pm

Looking good Su - thanks!! I'll probably have too much of a maritime influence from the Irish Sea here to see much but fingers are crossed! Certainly, the dewpoint is very low at the moment but the air temp is too high:

    Bangor air temp/dew point: 4.1C/-7.7C

    :)

Ha ha, going by that statement Dublin is just white 24x7!

I reckon some sleet and possibly very wet snow briefly before turning to rain. That's probably the realistic forecast.

    3.0c DP -0.8c

    3.0c DP -1.0c here atm.

Just looked outside - drizzle but very visible drizzle, so snizzle I'd say. Probably from those showers visible ahead of the front.

It has got noticeably darker in Dublin's City Centre. Very overcast sky and the wind has picked up. Otherwise all quiet so far.

I think there will probrably be sleety snow in Dublin but only for a short time (a couple of hours). Not expecting any accumulations away from high ground. Turning more to rain through the evening. That's what the models indicate anyway.

    No .
You will have full snow there near lamb doyles now.
    I'm 100% confident of that.

How long before it reverts to sleet is the question.

Heard it but didn't listen, if you know what I mean! :D To busy looking out the window. Sounded all very vague as usual (given the conditions that are in it) - the usual rain, sleet and snow with no real specifics.

Very light snow atm. 2.9c DP -1.0c

Dewpoint has just gone above zero her and mostly rain now.

I reckon once the precip gets to the m2 buoy properly,it's dp will start to rise rapidly as a result of the mixing and the warm front.

    2.8c/0.2 here

  • Registered Users Posts: 270 ✭✭miseagustusa

    lol it's not a dating site :D
Having a pint by the window up at phelans will be the crack this evening though!
Sleety rain for Arklow most likely.
Dewpoint is now -0.8c here which is very marginal.

damn i'm on the wrong site again:p

back to the weather so!!!! Rain here:( but by god its freezing!!!!!

Looking at the BBC map, they have changed for us for tomorrow and Thursday. We could get a pasting al right.
