Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Net Zero means we are paying for the destruction of our economy and society in pursuit of an unachievable and pointless policy.

At least 3 strikes haven't been picked up in S.Dublin on that map. Ireland's lightning detector network isn't great.

You can only see faint flashes during daylight hours unless your right under the cell.

Instability has peaked so things will start to die off soon.

Good few cranks around ballitore, Castledermot Co Kildare. Two different cells or whatever you call them. Not directly over me but still some cool flashes and bangs.

Unfortunately, didn't see much lightning, and what I saw, was white sheet lightning.

I hope there is more storms later.

Noticeable convergence inland wicklow and wexford now
    Cb's developing
Sunny in Arklow with a strong sea breeze aiding the development
    Fully expecting thunder today

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,170 ✭✭✭WheatenBriar

Heavy rain here now from that convergence shower home made in SW wicklow
Isnt nature amazing on such a small island

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,170 ✭✭✭WheatenBriar

No thunder but still raining from that slow shower
    9.1mm and rising
Some very solid loud Downpours earlier

Sferic showing up now around south Wicklow/north Wexford.

Fairly sharp looking shower/cell developing over north Dublin now.

Yep , I can confirm we have a new river here in Finglas! :pac: :D

That shower has just arrived in Inchicore. Huge amount of rotation above and just to my west and northwest. As it approached, wind picked up suddenly and began blowing towards the oncoming shower. Very obvious rotation to be seen too. I'd say there'll be sparks any minute

Seen that too! Tried recording it but phone didnt couldn't zoom. Reason why the cells are so slow moving ... still quite heavy here .

Didnt hear thunder, loud machinery! But 17mm rain, incredible eased but still raining
    Was hurling it down earlier
Raining here now 5 hours, no wind
Had a visitor here who said there was nothing 10 miles down the road

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,780 ✭✭✭✭ninebeanrows

I believe the showers just off the east coast were enhanced by a sea breeze convergence zone, amazing the pure blue skies just off the coast earlier
