Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Leinster get Lyon so therefore have Northampton or Harlequins from 3rd seed and Treviso or Ospreys from 4th seeds.

We're all going to heaven, waaheeeey.

Lyon! Boom. Most convenient French home game for me by a country mile, which is obviously the most important factor.

Jayus. Pool 4 has Munster, Sarries and Racing 92 already. Group of death if there ever was one.

    Pool 4 is cracking.

Leinster should really be qualifying as top seeds out of the group with that draw.

Well that solves Munster’s problem of losing semi finals

That's as good a pool as Leinster could hope for. I have to say it's nice to get a handy pool for once.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

What a handy group for Leinster, nightmare stuff for Munster.

Connacht a very tough group and Ulster looks ok

  • Administrators Posts: 54,091 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Ulster will top their pool. Just putting that out there now.

Bath and Clermont will be two fun trips for supporters too.
Not only did Munster get the pool of death but three ****e away games.

Last years pool worked out being OK, but was an awful draw on paper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

Leinster finally got an easy enough pool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,372 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

    Great draw for Leinster.

    Nightmare draw for Munster.

    Decent draw for Ulster.

Okayish draw for Connacht. Probably didn't want Montpellier out of the last pot.

That’s nearly the worst part. Swansea or that Saracens place is crap. Wouldn’t mind a trip to that new racing arena though

Given that Leinster could only have pulled Lyon, Clermont or Gloucester out of Pool 2 and only one of Racing 92, Northampton or La Rochelle in Pot 3, pulling Lyon and Northampton is a godsend.

If Benetton keep up their momentum, could they see second place as achievable?? I'd hope so.

Munster would be doing well to get out of the group.

I feel really bad for them. Irish rugby needs a Munster team to at least get to a final. It's starting to become a serious monkey on their back. They need to rapidly improve their away form or they can immediately assume two losses.

    Leinster group is dead handy.

Four wins can put a team through as a runner-up. It's achievable for this Munster side and you'd like to think they will improve under the new coaches.

If Leinster don't finish with at least 27 points from that pool I'll be shocked. Nailed on top seeds.

Sweet jesus. Munster's group could nearly pass as a semi final lineup. Larkham and Rowntree will be earning their wages.

In a World Cup year, Munster really could have done without that. I know all the teams are going to have the same issues but with Munster's new coaching ticket trying to implement a new strategy as well it's going to be much tougher on paper than it already looks.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 27,267 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

Munster have a better chance of knocking Sarries out in the group then they would in a playoff.
