Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Very nice!

The Argon's are getting really popular lately and it's easy to see why.

My bank manager is not happy with me right now:) I managed to get the very last P5 in B2R which was discounted down, guy came in 15mins after me to buy it, luckily Michelle suggested i put a deposit down 2 weeks ago.
    Size 54 (see i am not a hobbit:pac:)

Much prefer this colour scheme to the boring red/white newer model.

What PM are you going with Fran? Did you sell your race wheels with the P2?

Lovely looking machine. They are much nicer than the new colour scheme

Trying to sell the SRMs first before deciding. Whatever i go with it will be a crank based system. Sold a set of Zipp 404s separately to the P2. Will be going with a new disc & front next year.

Yeah fitted on Saturday, setup very similar to my old P2 but less crunched up. That was a 51 and really a size too small. Position feels very comfortable but reckon i will take another spacer out the front over time.

If you don't get to at least one tri this year I'm going to declare this post invalid andbsay it should have been in the cycling forum.

    Nice ride :)

That's a nice saddle to bars drop there Trig! Nice saddle angle as well ;)

That looks absolutely tiny compared to mine. What size frame is that EC?

My Shiv has a headtube as long as the fork! Its an XL though. Image will be up here in the next 10days when I can get the wheels on it, cables tidied up and the steerer tube cut.

Pretty sure it's a small. My last TT bike (a Quitana Roo) never really fitted me properly and used it for 4 seasons. This bike feels perfect and is a joy to ride in comparison. You get the same model?

I have the same colour and all!!! Just a good bit bigger. My planetX was never a great fit either. I was super aggressive on it position wise, even with a good deal of headset spacers. Great for a sprint or oly but far too uncomfortable for anything longer. The Shiv is much taller, which is what I needed, without being much longer.

I quickly went from an enquiry to a sale with a crowd in Spain. Full Ultegra on an IA10 frame.
Picked the wheels up on 45% discount from France. I spend a lot of time browsing before buying

And just to add, I'm absolutely loving it. Out in the hail yesterday and didn't mind the stabbing at all with the lovely whirring noise coming from the bike. I don't get why people spend a small fortune on fast bikes only to use them just for racing but then again, I'm still new to this and each to their own

Oh, the house badly needs painting, but not much point painting it when we plan on making three windows bigger and putting in one extra one.

Zico will be on now complaining about this thread becoming more Room to Improve than Image of Beauty.....

Got mine on a good discount from wiggle a couple of months back. Only recently got it put together and on the road. Nope saddle is on the right way impossible to get level!

looks to be a similar system to my cannondale. the two circular bits that clamp on the rail, try turning them around, the teeth marks are intentionally different on each side on mine and if you can't get it level turning often helps

Lovely bike Keelang, have you had any luck getting a speed concept draft box or the quintana roo box to fit on the back of the seat tube?? Have seen one or two online with it and looks well, makes it even more integrated too.

There is a thread on slowtwitch where they have made a 3d plastic insert that goes in in place of the bento box and you can use a Shiv fuselage (if you can get one!) to have integrated drinks as well.

    Thread is here,

    http://forum.slowtwitch.com/forum/Slowtwitch_Forums_C1/Triathlon_Forum_F1/Felt_IA_CalPac_to_Shiv_Fuelselage_Customization_P5426788/

Fella called FLUC has links to the pieces in here signature, size depends on size your looking for and bike size.

Last thing I've seen the Tri Rig omega front brake seems to test a lot better than the brake the bike comes with, it's a centre pull brake and form some reading saves 5watts (sounds like a lot but if it does it's worth it). Few little mods to that bike and you have a real proper super bike. If I ever get the money together I reckon that's the bike I'd buy.

    http://www.tririg.com/store.php?c=omega (an expensive front brake!!)

I got the Speed Concept draft box for my IA. Fits without any bother. Lid needs to be taped down for some Irish roads though.
The Calpac is a bit fiddly and useless so I might be going with Fluc's mod in the long term

Yes I've been looking at a draft box alright just waiting for money to come together to get a few new bits for it along the lines of what you've mentioned, but at this stage the legs have room for bigger improvements than anything else. The calpac isn't great but would still do to store gels and the like I think, I normally use a bta bottle that is still to be fitted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,428 ✭✭✭joey100

Not a TT bike but my new nice weather bike is nearly built, just in time for the winter. I've long legs and short torso for my height so it means I have to go small frame to have the reach ok and then the saddle high to fit the legs. Bike would look better with the stem slammed but not going to happen with the drop that would be there because of my silly body shape. Still have to add bar tape and chain but it's getting there. Should be able to finish it off myself too and hopefully if the weather stays dry and not too cold I'll get out on it.
