Is it the fucking of them that's a TA? or the gender in general? :pac:

I already can't stand the saying, "okay boomer" but I hate it even more when I hear it being directed at people who aren't even 40 years old yet.

In other words they haven't got a clue what a ****ing boomer even is - it gets a pass because its the "cool thing to say". Makes me ashamed that i fall under the category of "Millenial" because it's mostly used by that group.

    Makes me cringe

Not a big fan of it but to be fair - it's hilarious when applied correctly, it more applies to a mindset than an age group I reckon.

Any sort of bullsh*t phrase that's used to degrade, reduce or dismiss the arguments of someone else.

    Boomer, gammon, liberal, libtard etc.

We should have a system where users automatically get a slap across the face.

I got called a boomer and have no ****ing clue what it is, unless they mean the big things in Gears of War? But if it is an age thing then how am I a boomer. I was born when Power Rangers and Turtles were huge.

"Ok boomer" is what younger pople say when they realise that someone older than them has brought up a valid point about the mistakes they are making in their lives.

Older person  : You could probably easily afford your rent if you held onto your old phone instead of buying the latest iPhone. Maybe you could spend a bit less on going out every weekend?

    Younger person  :OK BOOMER!

It's just a lazy way of shutting down conversation.

The traffic is a nightmare out there. A combination of school time, rain, black friday, stupidity and early christmas shoppers. They are all a TA.

Haven’t heard the term boomer before only heard of the baby boomer generation, did a quick google and it’s those born between 1946 and 1964. The people using it sound like they haven’t a clue, wouldn’t like to be called one either sounds like a sort of a smart answer or put down.

That bummer nonsense doesn't surprise me as I see a lot of ageism online. Not suggesting "respect your elders" means unquestioning agreement just because they are older. But dismissing them as worthless relics is really horrible. I think people don't mix with various age groups enough these days.

I know you meant boomer but still I am so immature that I got a good laugh out of that. This Nicolas Cage gif perfectly sums up my reaction, trying not to laugh then giving up and going for it full on. :D

Great post good advice mix with all age groups it really keeps people in touch with the daily lives, experiences etc of other generations.’ No man is an island.’

That's me half the time, Guy :) yeah I meant that stupid word, boomer.
Incidentally, bummer is an old surfer/hippy word for something that's not great, like "lousy". I'm just thinking of a recent thread asking if porn has made innocent words smutty and tha word's probably a prime example...I just never thought of how it looks :)

RTE iplayer is an absolute unadulterated pile of horse sh1te. And it infuriates me that they keep advertising it as a way for people who have emigrated to be able to watch the Toy Show. Like that's actual lies. It does not work.
